There were some great Blues/Rock/Soul tinged vocalists came out of the UK...Paul Rodgers, Frankie Miller, Joe Cocker but none as fine as the late, great James Dewar. What a feel...the real deal.
Shouldn't BBC Radio 6 be playing this? Trowar & Dewar with the other great lads who lined up with them have been consistently brilliant for so many years. Yet their music has reached so few. Thanks for posting this beautiful song.
Raw love hitting the chords of everyman for his woman. Sing Dewar like only you can. Play Trower with the guitar gods, and thanks for the beat Lordan which lasts long after the music's over. Gracias, decimatorcortez.
I would put Caravan to Midnight Album on the turntable and when " It's For You" started playing it put me in the mood to dance around and do housework. Listening makes me feel young again, thanks for memories.
Jimmy makes it sound so easy to sing this. Great deception. His voice pours out like liquid velvet, impossible to duplicate. True magic. The Bluebird is singing.....
I think the last three comments here are the most soulful I could ever read, any time or anywhere. Thank you faceless cyber people, wherever you are God bless and keep you safe, I know you got soul. Thank you from a fan and friend in Zwolle, Netherlands.
God bless you my brother in the Netherlands. You made my year! Here in the USA we;re so worried about hits, that we forget what talent is all abot! Helli, the Bee Gees had a million hits and couldn't sign their way out of a paper bag!!!!!!!
alot of the songs on this album have a real R&B, low down, guitar rythmm, like a snake rolling down a tree. real sexy with a ton of feeling. this was near the end of the golden age of trower, dewar and lordon, and robin was no longer relying on pure power, although it is always just under the surface. its the high-water mark for mr trower. thanks for posting decimator. more please.
James Dewar is a brilliant singer not enough credit!! - Robin Trower Band Forever :D
