Warriors in the game I think have more potential in the game, I tried both play styles and I've realized magic has a limit to how powerful it is, especially since there is no enchantment for destruction magic damage, but warriors can improve their weapons to such a high extent.

two handed weapons are kinda pointless. not much stronger than one-handed ones, do not allow for shield (and their very useful enchants), and much, MUCH weaker than dual wielding. it takes a single hit from the dual wield power attack (which has 3 hits and is extremely fast) using two 420 damage swords to kill shadowmere on master difficulty and those swords can be stronger than 420 damage (specially using cicero's clothes. mine are glass too, not deadric, so possibly 500+ dmg each at best)

@GraveUypo Yah you are right. Marksman+dual wield is the strongest possible build. But i did not know that before and played with two handed weapons in morrowind and oblivion. So i stuck with it.

@hausmeister321 it doesnt really matter, the strength of the two hander is sufficient, because i'm playing on master difficulty with a norn barbarian chick (light armour and elven greatsword) and i am unstoppable. im doing 200 dmg total and as long as i use block and sufficient tactics i win every fight no sweat. magicians are fuckin hard though even with 80 resist across the board.

How did you get the achilles gear? and is it possible for a lvl 37?

@mike52038 Its enchanted gear. You have to be lvl100 in smithing, alchemy and enchanting. So most likely not possible at lvl37. There is a step by step guide in the description section however.

Every skill has its good and bad points. Melee fighters can't control the field of battle as well as a mage can but a mage has lower damage output in ideal circumstances (with Enchanting). Archery is a perfect stealth skill which has less effectiveness in close quarters but still very useful. Mages can't sneak attack but melee fighters need to get close in order to do so as well.

To summarise:

Magic = crowd control

Melee = highest damage output

Ranged = best stealth kill chances

@HATERofEVILcritics True. Also there is no class in skyrim that is so bad you cant play it. However every character gets enough crowd control through shouts. So the mages CC is kind of obsolete.

@hausmeister321 The shouts do make magic's crowd control somewhat obsolete but the major imbalance is the Enchanting skill. It makes melee and bows into one hit kills on almost anything but magic's only real benefit is getting reduced magicka costs. Fortify Destruction should affect damage of spells, not just magicka cost. That'd rebalance it to be the same as the other two overpowered classes.

Personally, I think Enchanting needs massive nerfs because it's just ridiculous now.

1st, it's not god mode, prove me wrong but shadowmere hits does bring a little of his hp down.

2nd, he's wearing full destruction reduction hence there's no cost on mana when he cast destruction spells.

If he had god mode on, neither his health nor his stamina would have gone down. They did in the video. His armor grants him 105% destruction spell cost reduction meaning his spells cost no magicka and he can spam them.

@BlocklandTerminata I have done the math a couple of times now in this thread. This is the way to dps with spells. Bound weapons suck because you cant enhance them with smithing/enchanting. And if skyrim had multiplayer anyone will get their back handed to them on a golden plate by marksman style characters. No one would build a mage for multiplayer skyrim since you can get completely immune to magic if you desire so.

the thing is this was max lvl or so mage but when u lvl its harder and more boring coz u run out of mana or you run out of hp... usualy run out of hp but as warrior u just block and hit and when u hit dont use the dan sword charge use stamina for shield and when time slovs down use bash and somtimes use the stamine sword attack but only if u know its the right thing to do. oh and use swords not exes or maces to be bether warrior and 1 handed and 2nd hand shield. set shield on a number key

@caena67 It's not entirely true, I find that using a shield to stun your target allow a lot of close quarter battle control, how you have to use the enveriment to catch mages and archer also keep battles more interesting for a long time. Mage is great, you just blast, summon, circle the targets backswards boring to me, all depends on what you like.

@popikom2010 The entire game is too breakable. Rogues can one shot eventually with barrel roll and x30 dmg. Mages never run out of mana at one point. And Warriors can get over the armor cap, and weapon dmg cap. Can't really say it's breakable, I'd just say they meant to put in a god mode for us lol
