  • Yumm :)

  • Just wondering what bread did you use?

  • mmmmm :-)

  • This was delicious, however I didn't add enough cheese. About how many cups of cheddar did you use? Thank you!

  • @NickiLuv82

As a rough idea of the amount of cheese, I probably used around 50 grams of grated cheese. Just make sure there is enough to cover the bread thoroughly :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • Im hungry now. Thank you for this easy recipe. I am in the states, and cheese is cheese..to me anyway, cuz I love cheese too - even the cheap stuff, but YES..it IS tastier elsewhere. I lived in Europe for 8 years. I got the good stuff then ( I could AFFORD it then too). sigh. Anyway off to the kitchen for a tuna melt!

  • @squ33gle

Thanks for dropping in and I hope you enjoy your tuna melt with whatever cheese you use :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • @squ33gle

are you poorer in the States?

  • wow, this is great!!! thanks for uploading:-)

  • @eneth26

Your very welcome and thanks watching and being one of my subscribers. Hope to hear from you again soon :)

    Original Naked Chef

  • i now live in the states, and the cheese here is NOT the same as in UK!!!! Boo

  • @bubbe2005

Surely there must be some nice cheese some where.

    I used cheddar for mine.

Can you buy cheddar in the states?

    OriginalNakedChef

  • @OriginalNakedChef

oh yes you can buy cheddar, BUT it is not the same and I miss british cheddar, i've set to taste the Irish cheese they sell here at Walmart. The cheese there is like hard block, here is like a soft block and you can really taste the difference

  • @bubbe2005

It sounds like you enjoy your cheese :)

Hopefully the Irish cheese you can buy taste good :)

Good luck and hopefully you will find some nice cheese soon and enjoy the 'Tuna cheese melt'

Thanks for dropping in and your comms and happy hunting!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • @bubbe2005 Youre going to Walmart for cheese that's the problem!! I don't know about the states but in canada we have nice gourmet cheese stores/specialty cheese stores where they make cheese themselves and/or import fancy european / other cheeses :-) Hope this helps!

  • @boymeetsuniverse69

yep because Walmart and HEB is all we have here!!!!!!!!! trust me if they had a UK groceries store here with UK grocerie goods of course I will do my shopping there rather than HEB or WALMART!!!!!!!!!!

  • @bubbe2005 Oh my GOD LOL Nevermind then..... LMAO I feel so bad for you! :( Sorry about that !

  • OMG this is so tasty

  • @SugarKatie

    I recommend it!

    Enjoy :)

  • what do u do to the food after ur done cooking it? O_o

  • @Katie7043

    Good question!

When I am cooking the food and recording it, I am normally cooking the dinner.

So all the food gets eaten :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • @OriginalNakedChef hahaha ok

  • @OriginalNakedChef Hi, I have to ask, when you use the paprika on top of the tuna melt is it the spicy paprika or the mild one used for colour?

  • @MrRooper100

I use mild and smokey (Not spicy)

    OriginalnakedChef

  • @OriginalNakedChef Ok thanks, I also put chili peppers in mine!

  • @MrRooper100

That sounds good to me, next time I make it I may just have to try the chilli peppers.

Thanks for coming back to me.

    All the best OriginalNakedChef

  • i tried it, it was amazingly delicious! but i couldnt really taste the tuna..do u have any recommendations for which brand of tuna i should use? or should i use fresh raw tuna?

  • @ItzDaTwiGGajD

    It's deleicious:)

Firstly do not use raw tuna, only from cans.

If you could not really taste the tuna, You could try adding more tuna to the mix. Also make sure that you have seasoned the mix well. Add alittle salt to the tuna itself if necessary.

It could be worth trying a different brand next time as I am sure there are some variations. Also there are different liquids in the can. Brine/olive oil/Spring water/Sunflower oil.

Try a different one next time.

    OriginalnaledChef

  • looks soooo amazing

  • @helloitskatee

    Hi helloitskatee,

  • Hey Chef! I just tried this recipe.. And its nice...

okay i lied..ITS FANTASTIC... My Family loves this recipe and wants me to make this every sunday ...and they keep asking me how i learn this recipe!

its all thanks to you chef! Best of luck to you!

  • @sadrakhm

    Lovely comment :)

It's a great snack and it's always nice to hear a satisfied customer.

    Keep the family guessing!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • This deserves a second comment, I'm not sure how many of these i have consumed since discovering this brilliant video, but it must be into the hundreds by now LOL!, and its definitely a dish that can be varied too. I finely chop some tomato with the spring onions, and also add some chilli powder to the mix before putting it on the bread, a trial and error dish that is so worth the effort once reaching perfection!

  • @Tinto2

You are too kind. I know what you mean though. I love this dish and your tips are very helpful.

If you come up with the perfect recipe, let me know and I am sure to try it out :))

    OriginalNakedChef

    OriginalNakedChef

  • does it matter what kind of cheese you use?

  • @bloodyhell50

Most cheese is good. Use one you like, that way you are going to enjoy it more :)

    OriginalnakedChef

  • @OriginalNakedChef it's because i've noticed that cheddar hardens quite quick once you've melted it and I don't really know a lot about cheese. I wanted mine to be like yours. What kind of cheese did you use?

  • @bloodyhell50

    Hi there,

the actual cheese I used was Cheddar cheese. The one I used was a mature cheddar so a slightly stronger flavour than mild cheddar.

The brand I used was "Spoiltcow" I purchaed from the supermarket.

To make your look like mine, just use pleanty of cheese.

The other cheese you could try is grated mozorella, thats normally used on good pizzas.

I hope it works out for you :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • @OriginalNakedChef Thank you, I'll try that :)

  • @bloodyhell50

    Nice one and good luck!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • Wow that looks very good. I'm not a big fan of tuna but my Husband loves tuna so i will most definitely try this out. Never really knew any recipe for tuna just a basic tuna & mayo lol so i cant wait to try it!!!

  • @ImOneOfAKind88

    Hi there,

    OriginalnakedChef

  • I would really like to try this it looks so delicious and simple....the only thing is I dont have a grill or broiler. Can this be done in the kitchen oven?

  • @marshajack1

I dont see why you would not be able to do this in an oven if you have not got a grill. Maybe turn the oven to high and place the food at the top of the oven and watch it whilst cooking.

Hope it works out for you :)

  • @OriginalNakedChef I did it in the oven and it turned out great! My family enjoyed it especially the children Thanks for sharing..... I am going to do your Yorkshire pudding recipe to go along with Christmas dinner, I will let you know how it comes out.

  • @OriginalNakedChef

Great job and glad it worked out in the oven.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

    OriginalNakedChed

  • @marshajack1 yes it can be done in a kitchen oven iv done it
