@muumimees123 I hate bringing old issues up, but the demons were present in the drug trip. I know there are so many other things wrong with the movie like Max's baby was a girl, not a boy. B.B. shot Alex at the subway and not at Max's home. Max was undercover for the DEA at the time of the frame-up and not working at the Cold Case office. They totally left out Vladamir Lem, Rico Muerte, Alfred Woden and Puchinello. Mona's Sister was named Lisa, not Natasha. Max never met her sister, etc. etc.

We never saw the hallucinations in the game because it was from Max's perspective and not the junkies (you do see the junkies in varius levels) so please, try and remember to get your facts straight.
I loved this movie, and what do you guys mean by "different story" or "different script"? It follows the game! The game is about a guy, Max Payne, whose wife and young child are taken away from him (killed). So he goes mad, and tries to find his wife and child's murderer. Doing so, he uncovers his wife's real job, and that she was asociated with the V drug, which everyone was taking. I'm not sure about you stupid fuck-tards, but the movie sounds primarily similar to that, if not the same.
@Solsman09 The story is superficially similar to the game, but only superficially. Otherwise, the film plays out like a cop drama of sorts. The game is more about Max getting embroiled deeper and deeper into this conspiracy that he is surprised to learn involves his wife. The movie has Max on a straight shot to the people that killed his wife.
The movie is not attrocious, it just reeks of low production values. You can tell that they went to a location, shot and moved on. On a plus side the detail and atmosphere is ever present, visually they nailed it. It's a shame that basically it is the same as quite literally walking through a graveyard- cold dark and nothing much happens. Take it for what it is after a few beers and it really isn't all that bad. I've seen worse.
Ludacris as Jim Bravura!?!?!?! Jim Bravura was a middle aged white guy in both the games. Not a young black man. Trust the f*cking movie industry to f*ck things up. Non of these characters look the way they should. The storyline is shite in the movie. They bodged this together in a few days, put it on the shop shelves so all those clueless and over eager gamers can snap it up before being very disappointed.
Mark Wahlberg was probably the worst possible choice for the role of Max Payne. Timothy Olyphant has the looks but he was starring Hitman, which he doesn't look :P Not gonna watch this movie.

@muumimees123 I hate bringing old issues up, but the demons were present in the drug trip. I know there are so many other things wrong with the movie like Max's baby was a girl, not a boy. B.B. shot Alex at the subway and not at Max's home. Max was undercover for the DEA at the time of the frame-up and not working at the Cold Case office. They totally left out Vladamir Lem, Rico Muerte, Alfred Woden and Puchinello. Mona's Sister was named Lisa, not Natasha. Max never met her sister, etc. etc.

@muumimees123 AS MUCH as I dislike the direction the movie went in, I hate more than anything else, misinformation.
Those are hallucinations brought on by the drug valkyr, if you don't remember, valkyr was the drug that Max foought to bring down in the original game.
We never saw the hallucinations in the game because it was from Max's perspective and not the junkies (you do see the junkies in varius levels) so please, try and remember to get your facts straight.

I loved this movie, and what do you guys mean by "different story" or "different script"? It follows the game! The game is about a guy, Max Payne, whose wife and young child are taken away from him (killed). So he goes mad, and tries to find his wife and child's murderer. Doing so, he uncovers his wife's real job, and that she was asociated with the V drug, which everyone was taking. I'm not sure about you stupid fuck-tards, but the movie sounds primarily similar to that, if not the same.

@Solsman09 The story is superficially similar to the game, but only superficially. Otherwise, the film plays out like a cop drama of sorts. The game is more about Max getting embroiled deeper and deeper into this conspiracy that he is surprised to learn involves his wife. The movie has Max on a straight shot to the people that killed his wife.

The movie is not attrocious, it just reeks of low production values. You can tell that they went to a location, shot and moved on. On a plus side the detail and atmosphere is ever present, visually they nailed it. It's a shame that basically it is the same as quite literally walking through a graveyard- cold dark and nothing much happens. Take it for what it is after a few beers and it really isn't all that bad. I've seen worse.

Ludacris as Jim Bravura!?!?!?! Jim Bravura was a middle aged white guy in both the games. Not a young black man. Trust the f*cking movie industry to f*ck things up. Non of these characters look the way they should. The storyline is shite in the movie. They bodged this together in a few days, put it on the shop shelves so all those clueless and over eager gamers can snap it up before being very disappointed.

Mark Wahlberg was probably the worst possible choice for the role of Max Payne. Timothy Olyphant has the looks but he was starring Hitman, which he doesn't look :P Not gonna watch this movie.

I'd like to see a second Max Payne, but I hope they follow it close to the game, because the game was awesome!
