Well unfortunately that tank is not 405g. That equation u used is only good if you use internal dimensions. The true volume assuming you have .75" thick walls would be 371.16g.
My tank comes out to 448.83 when in reality it's only about 401g.
Nevertheless, beautiful tank and fish. I'd love to set up a 24/7 drip system on my 500g system, but too much chlorine in our city's water.
what kind of filter are you using? wet/dry or a big canister? also do you only drain out the water with a python or do you siphon the bottom as well? sorry for all the questions, i plan on getting a bigger tank and need some info so its setup properly
This tank had a 90g sump filled with ceramic rings. For water changes, I would just open a valve and drain the water down the driveway; the tank had bulkheads on the bottom, so water changes were a breeze. Later on I switched to a 24/7 drip system to help keep nitrates down. It virtually ended up being zero maintenance, and nitrates were 15-20ppm.
I added a link in the description with a complete build thread. Check it out.
nah it was water from my tank. i rarely feed goldfish, only when making a video. and yeah its a 400g. dimensions are 6x3x3. using the standard formula to calculate tank volume:
dimensions are 6x3x3. (6*3*3) * 7.48 = 403.92g =)

@SuperSpikedup
Depends. Depends on size and species. Common cichla can start at $15, and go up to four figures for the rarer species.
