  • When it comes to LOL I have paid more then the amount of a full purchase of a new game through skins and other bits and due to an update awhile ago the game has never run correctly for me to play competitively since. Sooo im annoyed XD just gotta wait till I can get the proper parts which are acceptable I suppose :P

  • @Vraan Get a job then douchbag....

  • That's My Day Of My Birthday

  • I'm going to be so glad when I'm 15 and can get a job and stop mooching my parents for games X)

  • 60 dollars on a game is a lot for a student.

  • @L4tenius no one is asking you fagot

  • Comment removed

  • @kristofferg83 Well said mate.

The majority of the "freeloaders" would never have purchased the material anyway, so their is very little loss in that respect. On the flip side, people like myself who like to try before we buy might just purchase something they would not have otherwise, meaning piracy worked in favor of an already rich company. Piracy has F all effect in reality, and idiotic statements like those from TB just incite further ignorance on the matter. Bloody sheep.

  • @ulthea Stop trying to justify theft, thanks.

  • @monkeythelamar Stop being a fucking small minded sheep and calling this something it isn't. There is very little evidence to support your position, and game/movie/music devs are still making fucking billions - which is continually rising. Might also want to check a dictionary, you clearly have no idea what constitutes as theft.

    Get a fucking clue, thanks.

  • @ulthea Trolled <3

  • @ulthea You're still an ass hole :)

  • @MrJuniorPowers Yeah but I'm an asshole for the list of other things I do that may not be right, not for sharing software :D

  • hmm, I have never understood the negative reaction to buying skins... if you like another skin on your character, you buy it. Whats the problem with that!?

  • I m a university student in middle-europe...i told my opinion about the topic by now I guess lol no money for games..I play F2P games all the time....only game I ll be able to buy and have money for will be GW2..I have enough saved up money for it from birthday money and other holiday present moneys..

  • @Lancedbz Just download it free from the Pirate Bay or similar (Demonoid is ideal if you can get an invite). You weren't going to buy it anyway so its no loss to the company at all. Don't listen to these clueless privileged kids, and save the little money you do get for more important things. Enjoy the freebies, just give back when you've gotten somewhere :D

  • Dunno if this is just too obvious to point out, but some people don't donate because they're POOR.

I get 100 euros a month with which I'm supposted to buy all my school supplies, clothes, pay for train/busses and buy everything else I need.

My parents don't usually have enough money to buy food at the end of the month so we have to borrow money.

Of course I'd like to support my favourite Minecraft server, but the trufax is that I cant waste cash on games when there is food to be bought.

  • @Vraan It should be obvious, but lots of fucking faggots (Aka children) keep forgeting about that fact.

  • @Vraan Maybe you should look for another hobby? Video games tend to be costly.

  • @Nesther Obviously I wouldn't be buying games if I couldn't afford them. My point was that people shouldn't demand donations, or hate those who don't donate. Not everyone has alot of money to spare, and when you only have a little bit of money to spend then you usually want to spend them on yourself, not give them to some dude so he can keep more people on his minecraft server.

  • @Vraan It's not like you can't live without games, if you can't afford them, don't buy them. As simple as that.

  • @InsigniX Well, no shit heh. :P Perhaps I worded it badly, but I didn't mean that I can't afford games. I meant that I can't always afford to donate.

The point was that some people play free games without spending money in the cash shop or donating because they simply don't have enough money for that. I thought it was a bit unfair to call everyone who doesn't pay up "Freeloading scumbags" when some people simply don't have a choice.

  • @Vraan Exuse me for the misunderstanding. I get your point, it was somewhat similar for me in my early gaming years, and not any much different right now.

  • RTS/FPS? Like Mount and Blade in an FPS style? That'd be brilliant!

  • thumbs up if youre a freeloading scumbag :<

  • I haven't got a single pirated game on my HD. I like promoting for games and give something in return for the awesomness I get.

One thing I've pirated though, is PhotoShop CS5. Ridiculous high prices for a program, that I so desperatly need for an education, thank you.

I'm not saying I'm entitled to do have pirated it, but it sure have helped me a bunch.

  • @TheJakeRay1 >2011 >not pirating everything

  • @BertNewlyn That comment makes no sense.

  • i pirate games to see if they are any good and if they are i buy them if they are not i do not buy them

  • 1:41 holy wall of text batman!!

  • Honestly there won't be any games for you freeloaders to play if you don't pay soon. Fucking scumbags, I hope they know that those games aren't really theirs and that every time they start up the game they know that they don't deserve to be on it. So frustrating that these developers put so much time into making a game for no reward. Stuff like Skyrim which Bethesda has been working on for 3 years will probably get pirated.. What dicks.

  • FPS+RTS? dungeon keeper with that control creature spell :P

  • usually i don't discuss anything TB says because i agree with him most of the times, but i hate when he generalize pirating saying everyone that pirate a game is a scumbag, i live in a country getting a proper PC game is hard as fuck, consoles are fine but i do not like them, im gonna be honest i've pirated every game i have on my HD(a ton)and it hit me to know that i cannot support their developers in any way shape or form, im a gamer, but i have to rely to pirating in order to even play games

  • @mctavish800 I feel bad for you that you can't easily purchase games, but just because you can't, it does not mean you're entitled to pirate them. Piracy is piracy, no matter your circumstances.

  • @ZeldaDD

if i had any other option i would take it without hesitation, the thing is, i don't, and many other people are in the same situation, digital retailers don't support our region yet, importing a game cost way too much to be reliable ( not to say certain kind of games are banned here and if you try to buy them you WILL go to jail) and most of the time your money don't even go to the developer, wich is my main issue, im not gonna stop gaming just because some stupid politicans decitions

  • @mctavish800 That sucks pretty bad, sure, I'm just saying...it's still piracy anyway. I don't like piracy but I'm not really trying to judge you by saying this.

  • @ZeldaDD

i don't blame you, i don't like it either, but i've been gaming since i was a kid ( back then you could at least buy games) and i don't want it to let it go, but the better the games get the worst i feel when i pirate them, im not exagerating, games like FNV made me realise how much developers need support, after all you have to promote people that gives you quality products in order to get better stuff in the future, and i just wanna help on building that

  • @mctavish800 I agree with that for sure. I always try to support developers.

  • @mctavish800 It still doesn't give you an excuse to commit a crime. If I wanted to, for example's sake, buy a game but there was an innocent civilian in my way stopping me, I wouldn't resort to murder to get the game. I know it's not on the same scale, but a crime is a crime, and I am sorry for your situation but you need to find other ethical ways.

  • @danomon45

how can you compare pirating a game to murdering or agreesion agains another person? that's a tad extreme if you ask me, i know how hard and frustrating programing is, im studing it, so i know how much work those developers spend on their games, that's why i wanna support them, yes is not ethical, i wouldn't like to spend hundreds and hundreds of hours making x game only to see how when it's release everybody pirates it, but is the only choice i have, i've always been a gamer'

  • @mctavish800 What about steam?

  • @rbagagli

is not avaiable on our region, other digital distributors prices are wayyyyyy too high to even attempt buying there

  • @mctavish800 Well, if that's the case, then pirating games may be ok. Just barely, in my opinion.

  • @mctavish800 You could donate via paypal. You call yourself a "gamer" but most gamers give money to the developers for the great experience you get. You just can't be part of this community if you don't pay at least, minimum 10 pounds or a small sum like that. Just know that everytime you play those games that you don't really deserve to be on them.

  • @Xelights I take great offence to your e-mail that you sent in. It is such a blanket statement that it's disgusting. Did you ever once stop to think that some of us CAN'T donate money, as much as they want to? I'm a college student in one of the highest cost of living states with about the highest unemployment. I've been looking for TWO years and have yet to find a job. I can barely pay for gas to get TO school some days. But no, I must be a selfish twat, right? Stop and think sometimes...

  • I agree with TB 100% people who download games without paying are scum. When you buy a game you are paying the guy who worked for hours on end on it, maybe on his weekends even, to bring you a game for your enjoyment. When you take that game without paying your basicly saying "fuck you" to that guy. And THAT is why you are scum.

  • @AustralianGaming101 I would remind you that without game demos, people are left without any other option to try a game out. Why would I spend money on something that is not good and not worth my money? Piracy increases the number of sales, if anything, and raises much-needed awareness for indie titles.

  • @FallAng123 Lol i love how so many people justify their actions by blaming the people who made the games.

  • Dungeon Keeper/Dungeon Keeper 2 RTS with FPS elements rather than FPS with RTS elements though.

  • you can call me whatver the fuck you like and have your moral highground, im still getting free shit.

  • Limited range of champions? What?

  • Freeloading scumbags!!!!!!! Mr Bain, I loved you before, I love you even more now. Show your love to your developers/publishers! Buy what you frakkin love for crivens sake! Three cheers for TB!

  • TB, I am a pirater but I am student and I pirate because I have no money, Paypal, even a credit card. My parents are Asian and say why u no study, so I am forced to pirate games instead. I definitely don't think I should be called a thief!

  • @jandkas you ARE a thief if you pirate games

  • @ytabil Well I am a student and I have no money at all!.

  • @jandkas ofc you are a "thief" because you actually just "steal" the game online. SHAME ON YOU :))

  • @nocture11 didn't you see I have no money, I am a student, parents=no games!!!

  • @jandkas yes i can see your comment but even if you dont have money its stealing.. you should get a side job or sumtin if you dont like beeing a thief. :P

  • @jandkas Well, you are. Get a job.

  • @magickage I'M A STUDENT! read!!!!

  • @jandkas ...So? I'm in college and I'm doing just fine with a job. Try to talk around it, one way or another, you're still a thief.

  • @magickage highschool and in my place teens can't have jobs!!

  • @jandkas Thief

  • To all you troglodytes who agree with this narrow minded jerk on the subject of Piracy: If you have ever borrowed a friends game and not purchased a copy you are officially as guilty of "theft" as a person who downloads a similar item. What's that...you weren't planning on buying it anyway? Bingo fuck wits! Or perhaps it wasn't what you expected? Ding ding ding!

Now rather than comparing "pirates" to thieves, go out into the world and get a fucking clue.

  • Comment removed

  • @lodusanwo You need to pick yourself up a dictionary my illiterate friend, hell you can use this fantastic thing called "Google" for decent results. Clearly you are not too bright, I wont hold that against you.

  • @ulthea He doesn't condemn pirates indiscriminately (although in this particular mailbox it could seem like it). He has said time and time again that piracy is not theft.

However, there are people who might be able to afford games who simply pirate the games their want without ever buying anything. Those are the people he's targeting, and I think comparing those guys to thieves is quite fair.

  • @Rall94KC I pretty much agree with you, although I don't remember hearing him ever make that distinction :D

  • Nice outro music xD

  • im definately going to watch the wtf is for puzzle racer RPG

  • people who pirate games do not hurt the developers. those people would have never bought the game in the first place. so its not a loss of money

  • I wanna say THANKS to Frank.

  • you do know there is a minecraft trial that might be what he was talking about or even the free to play classic mode

  • "I'm a mom of 3. Please feel sorry for me because I chose this path so that I can illegally download games. I have bills and responsibilities just like everyone else. But please, excuse me because I raise kids. I am above the law." LOL!!!

  • There actually is a free to play version of Minecraft. However, this is simply just a creative mode with no where near the amount of items the current version of the Beta has, as well as there are not NPCs. It's also severely out of date and has a poor graphics engine (e.g. no true lighting system) and the maps are generally a lot smaller (I'd say about the size of maps you find in Call of Duty). The current Minecraft is the descendant of this.

  • I pirated Minecraft and played for over a couple of days. Then I bought the game and enjoy knowing that I own a legitimate copy!

  • WHAT!? Someone gave TB a bad day? DRIVE ME CLOSER! I WANT TO HIT THEM WITH MY SWORD!

  • @belthazor3457

You sir just wont the internet for the 40k meme reference

  • @belthazor3457

    40k style bitches!

  • Minecraft is awesome, I bought it, played it a week or two, and then I started to get klaustrofobic from being under ground for so long in the dark, Minecraft need ways to make better lightsources. I prefer Terraria... :)

I still do have Castle building dreams but that requires abit of effort... oh god! :<

  • well free to play games can get you into that series i mean lets say the league of legends guy would make another game i think alot of the league of legend guys would maybe buy it cause of the succes of League of legends

  • I don't like to buy things I can't pick up at the store. Here internet websites, take my information and increase my debt. If I'm lucky I'll get the bill before the bank forcloses because some douche hacked my account.

I used only game cards for WoW, for example.

  • "Hello, I'm John..."

*My goes slack at the size of the e-mail*

  • Wow my opinion of you just dropped.

I am a "freeloading scumbag", as you so narrow-mindedly put it. I am also a mum of three with many bills and responsibilities. I download games that I might be interested in, and if I am going to get more than a few hours game play out of it I make a purchase. If not, then I have not hurt anyone.

GG dick head - a lot of the people lining your pockets are in a similar boat, and you just insulted them. You were getting very stale anyway, wont be missed.

  • @ulthea lol

  • @ulthea trololol u mad bro?

  • @FairesAteMay

No, just find it pathetic when I come across people who lack the single brain cell needed to prevent such mouth breathing as you display. But it's very cute to see you can mimic overused memes.

  • "He's wonderful his name is Frank" This made me laugh for reasons i cannot comprehend.......

    <3 TB

  • +1 for mentioning Empires.

  • @lotmein20 basicly, yes

  • I pirated Mincraft didn't like it,didn't buy it, saved me $10 :)

  • @CoreRaider1 Your still freeloading scum.

  • @Shredow2

And you are a shallow minded parrot. Get your head out of this wankers arse.

  • @CoreRaider1 Why did you have to waste time pirating something when you could have tried it for free, since Minecraft Classic is free? Also, $10? Seriously? Are you living in a box and need the $10 for ramen packages?

  • <3 Frank.

  • a racing rts puzzle game ... challenge accepted

  • TB, I think you missed the fact that the people who weren't paying for any microtransactions THEN judge the developers of that game for whatever changes that they do not approve of or that there is not much hard work being made for more contstant updates that accounts for hard work at the offices. Maybe if this company got more paying for such games. Minecraft has done well with the patches he's coming up with, but that's with a lot of help from how many purchases of Minecraft has been bought.

  • Omg TB, how did you manage to play that game for so long? It's not even a one trick pony, its just crap lol... total crap with a once-great but long dead IP attached to it

  • @kristofferg83 It almost always substitutes purchase. If someone is going to go to the trouble of buying something, they might as well go to the trouble of pirating it.

And I'm not saying that they are making the developers make less money particularly.

I'm saying that they are not paying for the games. This means that if everyone did what they're doing, the companies would go bankrupt.

Hence, they are freeloading, leeching douchebags.

  • A racing puzzle game? Why does that sound familiar!?

  • Time to go design a game involving racing, rts', and a puzzle!

  • @TotalHalibut hey TB you should do a WTFree of Kag2d i think that game needs more attention its really fun

  • Omg... a racing rts puzzle game? That sounds pretty intense...

  • I pirate games all the time

    BUT

I buy the game if i enjoyed it very much after I am done with it

  • @sigge951 Don't care, you pirate, your still wrong in my eyes. Cheap ass.

  • @ps3man1998 So, he pirates a game to see if he likes it and not wasting $50 or so. Then goes on to buy it for the same price. And he is a cheap ass?...How dose that make sense exactly? He is still giving the devs their money and he cut out the risk of buying a game that turns out he did not enjoy. Nothing wrong with that at all.

  • @viero789 the problem is a lot of people DON'T go buy the game. they just keep the pirated version

  • @hmnhntr Yes, and they are scum as TB says. But there are people like me who need a shit ton of money for college and various other things like that. And I do get bored from time to time and with a limited number of games. I will gladly pirate it. Play the full version until I get the feel of how it will be for the rest of the game. Test out all the modes. If I do not like it. I delete it. If I do. I buy it. Best and safest way possible to buy games.

  • @viero789 Well as long as he just doesn't do it to play games completely without paying, then i don't care. But there are more legitimate ways of trying games. And it just seems that he steals games if he doesn't love them completely. That is whats wrong.

  • @ps3man1998 Ya I get you, though I would be lying if I said I have not gotten burned by reviews and demos before. And to be perfectly honest. Pirating as long as you 1. pay for the game after word if you like it or 2. stop playing it when you get far enough in to where you know you would not like it the rest of the game. Then pirating can actually be very helpful as it gives more to word of mouth and be it good or bad. It is free advertising which is always good no matter what.

  • @sigge951 You're still a twat.

  • So you where the VoiceOver guy for that game made me wonder if you actually were when I was playing it

  • Iam a 13 year old kid and do not have pay-pal or credit card, I admit I pirate games but thats because I cannot afford it and the only way I can play it isthrough piracy so am I stealing from the game developers? not really, you can look at like this theres a game thats been out so if I pirate it they still get money, If I dont pirate it they still get money, If I pirate it they dont lose money, If I dont pirate it they dont lose money, so basically if I pirated a game it doesnt matter.

  • @killerkerara I found this name on runescape, he was a level 126 back then in 2007 , I was using it since then lol

  • @Smokemalboro Get a childresn savers account... you can get 1 at 13

  • Actually, Teenagers CAN buy stuff online. I'm thirteen and have a debit card. I ONLY buy online now :)

    Although, I don't have a PayPal account.

  • @MineThatGold Lucky you, I'm 16 with $200 in my closet and no way to spend it online. -_-

  • I now just realize TB voiced the Savage 2 tutorials. Major bricks have been shat.

  • well there is a free version of minecraft but its not nearly as good

  • Said "Free to Play" games are surely misleading; while mostly to them makes/forces you to -PAY- eventually, In a way or another. League of Legends Is the -only- game that deseves to be called a F2P, but rest aside does not.

About personal preference: I'd prefer something like, a Elder Scrolls MMO, with PvP elements from Ultima Online. Something like Mortal Online, but less troubling/glitchy/etc.

  • i always get sad when the videoes are under 20min :(

  • To be honest I think that you should have to but League of Legends, not A subscription or anything, but you should have to at least buy it :/

  • @derrickhayden its not like ive never bought a game i just pirate the old ones i cant find any more

  • One other FPS/RTS comboish type game would be brothers in arms. I'm a big fan of that series.

  • I think TB is too hard on people who pirate.

there are people who pirate simply because they dont want to pay for games.

then there are the people who used to spend money, lots of money, on games. after the, lets face it, shitty PC ports and buggy PC launches, its really no surprise people turn to piracy.

  • @gabba1gabba1hey Well that doesn't excuse stealing.

  • @PeNN3rTraTiionzZxX Pirating is not stealing.

  • @snemul It is, it's getting a game without purchasing it. You are getting the game which you illegally download.

  • @PeNN3rTraTiionzZxX It's not stealing, you're not stealing a physical item, you're just digitally copying an item. It's like if you could clone a car and then take the clone, that's not really stealing now is it?

  • @snemul Just because it's not a physical item doesn't mean it isn't stealing, think of digital distribution. You are just not paying for it because you think something has to be an existing object to be considered stealing. Also a car is a physical item, so it could be considered stealing according to your logic.

  • @PeNN3rTraTiionzZxX It's stealing but its stealing about the equivalent of 0.001$ the way publishing companies look at it is, you stole 60$ but by basic economic laws the more there is the less money it should cost supply and demand, and since they have near infinite copies of that game your stealing barely anything.

  • @TiThor3 Still stealing.

  • @PeNN3rTraTiionzZxX I bet you think orphans are a problem cause they steal from food banks.

  • @TiThor3 It's not the same situation, you won't starve without a game.

  • @gabba1gabba1hey If people pirate games, that's less money that goes to the developer. Less money means future titles may be of a lower quality, or they may develop less games. In the case of smaller companies or 'Indie' developers, piracy can seriously affect there sales and result in there closure. If you pirate a game to try before you buy, that's not stealing as you intend on buying the game. If you pirate because you don't want to pay, then you are essentially stealing.

  • @TOSH9311 The majority of people that pirate never intend to buy the game anyways. So there not losing money really. Thats how I am. I download the games I will never buy simply because I feel it isn't worth the 60$ price tag and I pay for the games I will play the shit out of. BF3 for example.

  • @FreeHowToTutorials I suppose in the case of a large developer then that's understandable. They're selling millions and millions of units so their sales won't be affected. In the case of smaller developers I would entirely disagree, for instance pirating an indie game could really damage the developer, as their sales numbers are a much smaller and piracy could prevent them from developing games in the future.

  • arrrghh enough with th shitty onlive ads

  • It's not anti-competitive; the TF2 players are nearly all huge fans of Valve and Steam, so it makes sense that these people would buy D.D. on Steam anyway. What, you think GamersGate or what have you are going to see a TF2 promo and think: boy, I never liked Steam before, but for those STEAMTF2 items I'm going to switch platforms.

Sore loser on that one TB, props to the D.D. devs for taking the time to correct that atrocious rant.

  • BATTLEZONE!

  • Sorry but i lol'd hard at the second letter.

"I only play free to play games like minecraft & lol" "I buy skins"

WUT? that's paying money, this guy has it all wrong sorry

  • That guy pirated Minecraft and yet he complains about them :P?

  • @Dawnbringerify when did he say he pirated it?

  • @Dawnbringerify He's most likely talking about minecraft CLASSIC as in the one that's FREE. You know.... the one you play from the website. The one you pay for is the beta.

  • @Dawnbringerify

    I didn't pirate minecraft :P

  • @Xelights

How did you get it for free?

  • @TheBlueJamie You ever hear of getting something as a gift? Last time I checked, that requires no money out of your pocket. :)

  • Guys, I DO own Minecraft, what I meant to say is that they currently don't cost my any money, as in hourless fun with no subscription payment. (unlike many other games)

Why would I donate money to servers ,that I wouldn't be able to play without an account in the first place?

  • @Xelights To help maintain the servers? You think that's free?

  • @Xelights Now go play LoL with your new Teemo skin and suck at it like al donators do.

  • @Dawnbringerify He might just play classic.

  • @Dawnbringerify He was probably speaking about the classic version of Minecraft witch is free. But if he is talking about the beta he is probably retard. Also even if this guy donate to his minecraft server the money won't go to the dev anyway... so maybe you are right.

  • "Freeloading scum bags." AHAHAHA, what a knee slapper.

  • i usually dont buy games

    its huge waste of money

i only buy games when i think they are really good

  • And so the search for 329woody begins!

  • i like hearing a devs opinion on what TB talks about on the mailbox. it helps people understand the devs thinking and is much appreciated :D

  • Comment removed

  • Savage 2 video, great idea. The only reason I am demotivated to play this game is because there's almost nobody playing. Please make this happen, I would love for it to have a big community again.

  • i looked up the savage 2 tutorial, IT RLY IZ YOU! O.o you make me so proud! =D

  • watch?v=7cFKuuKR2e4

  • Everytime I see TB's got a new Mailbox uploaded I say 'YESSSSSSSSS' because....come on..... MAILBOXES ARE THE BEST.
