  • MA PERCHE' SCRIVETE TUTTI IN INGLESE QUANDO SIAMO TUTTI ITALIANI ? BBA'H

  • Thanks for your reply and for posting the video as your explanation answers the suspension thump I was experiencing.

  • Nice video and documenting can you share details about the limiting strap. I have IAP red springs and Koni Yellows on a GTV 74 Bertone . Are the original straps not effective? I would appreciate any details you can share on the benefits and installation location and the part number for the straps. Thanks

  • @alfakenpo

Hi, The original limiting strips were to short with performance springs, they allowed to much suspension travel. As for the new straps, I can't tell you a thing, as the guys helping me put the car back together, had them made. I offer to out and measure them for, but alas, I sold the car a month ago.

  • @72ARSuper

gutted you sold such a classic hoping you got another alfa to replace it hehe whats the name of the song you used in the video i love it!

  • @666RiffsOfDeth666

Haven't replaced it yet, might try something other than an Alfa. The music in the video are two tracks from the Sean Connery movie "Medicine Man".

  • Nice love story.

  • Wow you found a great parts car! The floor boards look amazing. I love Restoring Alfas and comparing notes, great Job!

(PS: not a plug but look in my channel if you like :) and congrats! oh and if you have the time any engine mods? )

  • @TheTagzen

Thanks for the comments. The engine mods were done by a previous owner - 2-litre replaced the 1.6, it's about half way between stock and full-race, but vary well behaved. I added the oil cooler, magnaflow exhaust, relocated the battery to the trunk, and several other things.

  • man u live my dream! :DD

  • Nice video. It woud be great to see and hear the car in action. I love this car. I had a '72 Giulia 1300 when I was in the US Navy stationed in Sardinia back in the early 80's. Mine was in the shop about once a month it seemed, but I loved it. Great fun on those Sardinian roads.

  • @crimdell

Thanks, it was my first video. As for seeing the car in action and hearing it, I don't own a video camera, and it would be rather hard for me to take a video of me driving the car, but I'll work on that.

  • @72ARSuper LOL... we don't want to see YOU driving the car. Can't you find a sexy, raven-haired, Italian temptress for that? You just stay behind the camera. ;-)

  • Looks great, Giulia Gta and Ti top of my wish list..

  • @Pinin500

Thanks, I too would love to have a Right Hand Drive GTA, I've got a couple of friends that own them.

  • Wow. First class restoration of one of Alfa's finest. I hope you've painted the radiator by now.

  • Love it! I have a 1969 Giulia Super almost completely restored...and I just bought a 1969 Spyder boat tail for $1.00. Needs about $5,000 but I can't wait to start work on it.

  • @winemanboy Dude, that '69 Spyder is my dream car. Good luck with it. Do the work to the quality standards that it deserves.

  • fantastic car, fantastic Alfa Romeo old style!

  • Complimenti!!!ha ridato vita a un MITO.

    Oh bella Giulia Fiorentina

  • Grande la Tua Giulia, COMPLIMENTI !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I had the same but this was very rust and I sell for 150 euros! but the engine was almost perfect! but I had no money to fix it! Tell me how much money spent to complete repair ?????

  • @Gluvich

Thanks for your comment. Not including the cost of the first car, I'm into the restoration for about $12000, or about 9229EUR.

  • @72ARSuper that's a lot of money!! but it worth for car like this one!!:)

  • @72ARSuper

i have watched this video numerous times lol its brilliant excellent work restoring this beast of beauty whats the song btw ? and please do a walkaround video of this car inside and out! i love it!

  • Congratulations. This is a beautiful Alfa Romeo. Amazing soundtrack in the video. Can you share the title with us? I must admitt that i felt sorry about the red Giulia, and the process of combining 2 cars to get 1 made me sceptical. But the final results looks very nice indeed. It was very good to save such a car, and to see that people still appreciate it, admire it, love it. Greetings from Greece.

P.S: This was one the best restorarion videos I have seen in YouTube. Again congratulations.

  • @madk4speed

Thanks for the comment. I gave credit for the music on the last of the video, but it does go by kinda fast. It happens to portions of two tracks from the soundtrack from the movie "Medicine Man" with Sean Connery.

  • @72ARSuper

    viva la alfa!

how long it take you to restore this soul and passion ?

  • Moloko Velocet!

  • Nice work...Very fast...Very beatiful 5*

    Alfa for love

    Alfa Romeo Cuore Sportivo...by italy

  • Super example.

Top notch restoration and must be lots of fun chucking around the track.

Whereabout in Cali are you from?

Lived in Palo Alto for several years, though scenery looks more like SoCal.

    Alifisti Saluti from France

  • Thanks for the comment. And yes it is SoCal, on the coast about half way between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. The pictures at the end of the video were taken at a winery northeast of LA near Lancaster.

  • Nice car, concratulation to your well done job.

I have the same GIULA Super 1.6 MJ 1972 in white, but in good unrestored condition..

I'm from Germany and I don't know that the Giulia is established in CA / USA.

Much pleasure wit your nice ALFA.

    Greetings from germany

  • Thanks for the comments. This particular car was brought over from Italy in 1999 by a previous owner. I'm not sure how many Giulia Sedans are in the US, but it's not to many. I see more of them on the track than I do on the street. I believe they were only imported for sale from 1964 to 1967. They were much more popular in your part of the world.

  • awesome Job! I own an alfetta Gt .

  • Thanks. But now I'm starting to look for another project, and try to do more of it myself vs hiring it done.

  • it is gorgeous.......

  • Thanks, this was my first project of this magnitude.

  • Great video,well done!
