Wow, philosophizing without philosophy. No one who spoke at this conference understands Net Neutrality thoroughly. NN is egalitarianism applied to the internet. Content providers claiming that their rights are being violated if they are discriminated against by ISPs makes about as much sense as someone claiming that his rights are being violated if turned down for a job b/c of his skin color. It may not be the right decision, but the company should be free to do it...
... The fact that some people at this meeting thought that Anti-trust had merit or that the way to combat gov't protected monopolies is to regulate them more shows just how superficial the average Libertarian's understanding of liberty really is.
It is amazing that some places have the same price for dial-up as they have for DSL. The service is so very different. On Dial-up, you cannot post videos or watch them, usually, and on DSL, these things are possible
