Getting a screen capture is so much more simpler than this. On my Samsung Galaxy it's keep the back button pressed down and then press home. On some phones I've heard it's power button and home instead.

Thanks for this. There are newer versions of the Jave SE development kit now, so it doesn't work exactly the same way as shown in the vid, but the concepts pretty much the same and I got it working here fine. Cheers, buddy! =)

@DannielHateful Most probably a non-standard feature of your phone. The Nexus series with the stock ROM doesn't have that feature, and must be rooted to do it directly from an application.
