He was rumored to be a nechrophiliac but it was never proven; he grave robbed throughout the Wisconsin area and he also skinned dead bodies and would make masks, socks, gloves and even body suits out of them. He inspired Leatherface, Buffalo Bill, and Norman Bates; his tombstone was stolen in 2000, the same year L.D. 50 was released. Maybe that inspired Chad to write the song, its just an assumption.
