@rjhorst94 the main difference between the two is the new one has a carbon fiber reinforcement bar, and we also extended the nose and tail a bit. The new 37 also has a bit more concave and slightly more camber. It's also compatible with other trucks and uses counter sunk hardware.

@hubbylumpkinz the freeride with rocker concave would be a good choice for you, it's made for DH and sliding! Get some harder wheels, either the 81a flashbacks or the 83a purple stims! You'll be able to slide with ease!

@laxinjewjew24 you can call us up and buy new s8 hangers for $20 instead of buying a whole new set of trucks. Changing from s10's to s8s will completely change the performance of your board and will make freestyle and freeriding easier. You can also get red medium tension springs for $12. The hangers and the springs will be free shipping.

@jackassfreestudios both boards are completely different. The pintail 46 is heavy, and alright for some smaller hills, but it's not recommended for downhill. The Apex is a versatile board, and can handle some freeriding but is more of a freestyle board. You may want to check out the new Freeride boards which will be out soon. Check out their new video.

@Mrlovesdrums check out our Pintail 43. This board is a thicker board, made with 9 maple plys, providing you with stability. It's also great for cruising and carving. You may want to get the upgraded red medium tension springs in your trucks to give you a bit more stability since the black standard springs may feel a little loose for you.

hi, i have been skating for 6 years, Longboarding for 1.5 years. I'm very thin...100 lbs. I want a good board for tricks/sliding/downhill. What are the best trucks bearings, and wheels, and is the apex 37 a choice for me? (I guess id do lightweight flex). price isn't much of an an object.

@ReostiMusic the Apex would be a great choice for you! as for trucks, Original trucks with upgraded springs can handle low speeds, but if you plan on going over 25 mph, I would recommend getting either Bears, Randals, or Paris trucks for downhill.

I got my Apex 37 (2011) a couple days ago and did not open it until today, I was very unhappy to find that the helmet warning sticker was on the graphic of the board and as i removed the sticker it peeled the graphic off. I waited over a month for this board to come in and I do not want to wait again, I was wondering what I can do in this situation.

Hey original may i ask a question. When the guy is holding the apex, are those trucks attached to their most inward position? or can you further bring them closer together? im really big on all sorts of mannys, and i cannot see myself getting my foot on that nose without taking extreme precautions. If that nose were a tad larger i can get into manny position much easyer on the fly if you know what i mean. thanks.

@PlanB790 Right now we only have the 2011 version in stock. Our main goal for the past year and a half has been increasing our capacity to build boards while also increasing our capabilities to build advanced decks. We wanted to be sure we could make the best constructions in the world, and continue to supply demand once we released them.

The 2011 Apex 37 is the first board we have released in those constructions. We are now working on fleshing out the other options, so stay tuned.
