I was 10 years old and standing down at the billboard at the end of Hwy 50 aboue 100 yards from where this video was taken. It was louder than any rocket I have ever watched.........I work there now!

I was three. Don't remember the sound. Sorry. I do think it was a bit closer than launches today. I believe I have another video of another launch (possibly Apollo 9). Will try to dig that up.
