It may, in scientific and medical FACT, have been your father who could just as easily have passed on that genetic trait to you, having had it passed on to him by his own ancestors.

Oh, and YOU could pass it on to YOUR decendants, INCLUDING your sons, if you had them.

(2) One of the risk factors of breast cancer is more breast matter. The average healthy male has about the same amount of breast matter as a pre-teen girl. Fewer breast cells, the lower the risk. However, as mentioned earlier, inherited genes also play a part. And since such has been ignored for so long as it relates to men, fewer are being evalued, hence a misleading statistic.

Breast cancer isn't a joke. Get a reality check and do some REAL research.

(1) PSAs from every possible organization and even politicians, have focused ONLY on the instances of breast cancer in women. In so doing, fewer men actually are evaluated for potential breast cancer. Even medical professionals have been led to consider breast cancer in men.

While most women who inform their doctor that they have a family history of breast cancer, they only take female ancestory into account. For women who don't take their male ancestors into account, such as a father whose ancestors have a family history of breast cancer, and have no record of breast cancer in their female ancestors, may actually be denying themselves full disclosure of medical history. And, so too, do men who don't think about their family history of such conditions.

FACT: Men CAN get breast cancer as well.  Little to nothing has be PSAed regarding men's options to have breast cancer detected in men. Nor has there been publicized options for treating breast cancer in men. As with this commercial, ALL references have been directed at women.
