My girlfriend, her sister, their cousin and I went on a trip to Big Sur's Sykes Hot Springs two weekends ago. This meal you're reviewing garnered our lowest collective rating of the seven we ate from Natural High, Backpacker's Pantry, and Mountain House.

Have you ever eaten the Italian meat sauce meals from Mountain House? The two we've tried are Lasagna and Spaghetti. They are consistently filling and very tasty.

In Toronto and Ottawa I hit the MEC. Mountain Equipment Co-op. They have a huge isle devoted to back country meal planning.
