when you import a video in movie maker, or capture from a video device, you are given the option, "create clips for video files" at the bottom of the browse window. this is enabled by default. just uncheck it, and your videos will be imported as one continuous clip. you can split the video into seperate clips later in the timeline view by clicking the "clip" dropdown menu at the top of the screen and selecting "split". there's also a shortcut on the preview player.

in your description, you say the SMART recorder is a free program and the SMART board is not needed. i'm having trouble finding this program and would like a link or something as to where i can get this free program. thanks. you do very nice tutorials.

Do a google search for "SMART Technologies" then download an older version of NOTEBOOK. Sorry I have never downloaded the file, I have the software that came with my SMART Board, but I was told it was free. You cannot download the new version 10, that requires a serial number. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more help.

Sorry to ask you this basic question...How the smart board works..The guy at work told me about it and he said that the board is like a PC monitor that is wired to the PC and there is no need for a projector anymore??
