  • hey, why isnt there any sound?

  • @FanOfthePADRES411 before i had a camera with sound.

  • It is called the Carl Sandburg because it travels through and stops at Galesburg. That is Carl Sandburg (an American poet) lived. It also called that because they needed a name for the second train to run the Chicago-Quincy route.

  • i must be the only homo lovin' train junkee to comment so far!!

    yeoooooooow

  • Do the Illinois Zephyr and Sandburg always have engines on both ends?

  • Yes, all Amtrak intercity trains in Illinois, at least most of them, have two units on both ends.

  • well i've seen videos and pictures of where they do and they don't.

the Saluki and Illini do a "turn around" prior to pulling into Carbondale, so one engine required.

  • The other amtrak intercity trains like the lincoln service only runs one engine of course that runs from chicago to st. louis...if you watch boxcarfrank's videos he shows some amtrak lincoln service with one engine.

  • I would be interested in using some of your footage for depot promotion. Add me as a friend so we can coorespond. Great Job on filming!!!
