Very sorry for your loss. I know that people who don't care much for cats or dogs won't really understand but they become your friend and I'd say they're better than some human friends because they don't know or care about the material things that bother humans and they ask for little in return. My last cat died after being injured in a RTA aged 6 and though I have a lovely cat now I stil miss Sam.

@annah12343 We picked him up from the vet and put him on the carpet in the living room, where we sat around him, cuddling him and talked about his life and our lives with him...we sat there for 3 hours! Then we had to bury him, that was the hardest thing ever, putting him into his grave tucked into his favorite blanket and leave him behind, knowing that he'll never come back :(

Very sad when a friend passes away, a cat friend was killed by a car over christmas, he will be missed. I composed a simple tune for 'Fluffy' it's a bit sad.
Believe me, the best way to erase the hurt is by going to your local animal shelter and adopting to save the life of another. You will find as I have there will be a least one cat or kitten who somehow definately knew you were coming to save them because "A long lost friend from beyond told them"

It doesn't mean you hide from the grief you're feeling or negate the impact your pet's death had on you...it means that your pet is speaking to you, telling you he/she loves you & wants you to CONTINUE with that love by giving a home to another pet. The days when I lost my pets were horrific...the pain was indescribable, as I'm sure most pet owners can relate to. But it would have been more tragic if I'd closed my heart & not adopted a new friend. Peace/Love...
@showthosearches I adopted two cats 3 weeks after Micki died because i couldn't live without pets. They helped me A LOT to get over the pain and now i can't imagine a life without them anymore^^ They'll celebrate their 3rd birthday in may and june :D

@fyeahkenji It makes me feel sad everytime i think about it. But we didn't know he wouldn't come back with us that day :( The vet was going to have a minor operation on him,after a few minutes he noticed how major his problem really was. He called my mum and told her that he has to put him to sleep and if he should wake him up again so we could say 'goodbye'. But we said that if it ever comes to make a decision we'd do whats best for Micki...thanks for asking, it's such a long story.

@ooGuteLaunedrops I just lost my baby (cat) named Starlite to cancer this April. She'd been fighting cancer for the past few years and we thought we were in the clear, but she had suddenly gotten persistantly sick. During her explorative surgery they found out that her liver was full of tumors so...I told them not to wake her up, but they let me come down and say goodbye while they put her down. I think she knew how bad it was becaue the night before she lay her paw on me and gave me this look.
The only thing that made me smile was her sense of humor...she had us put her down on April 1st...but still my heart feels like its breaking every time I think of her
Typing this without crying was next to impossible, but your kitty is with mine now in Heaven so he will have a friend at the most. <3 He looked very beautiful too.

My fathers friends daughter picked him up in a nature reserve when he was a few weeks old and when her dad told her to bring him back his mum was gone with all his siblings. They already had a cat, so my dad took him to our place :) sorry for that! but i think he must be a normal domestic breed, no one knows who his mum and dad were, maybe they were cats with owners maybe wild cats^^

Like 5 years ago when I was 8 my cat died I wasn't sad because I knew he wasn't suffering anymore (his kidneys were shutting down) but then my parents made me and my sisters write letters to stick in the box with him before he was buried and then I couldn't stop crying because it was then that I realized I could never see or play with him again. my dog got hit by a car like in the fall last year i think and the moron who hit him kept going didnt even stop we all rushed outside and all u see is cute lil charlie sittin there in the road there was lots of traffic everyone gettin out of there cars we took em to the vet and he was hurt on his head (sorry fot bad spelling iwas crying) and the vet was down the street so atleast he died close to me

My Cat Link died at the age of 7 because had a blood clot in the junction where the vain splint into his two back legs. So he had no movement in his legs. He was getting better until he had another blood in his chest near his lungs so he had trouble breathing. He was chocking on his own spit. He was also breathing really hard. He was sufffering alot and i felt so bad. The doctors said that he soulsn't last the night. They were right....Link died on Friday June 24th, 2011 at 11:50pm May He R.I.P.

I also found hard to believe not seeing them again. But we will be together again in the Other Side cause God understands our Love and not necessary the people. @fyeahkenji It makes me feel sad everytime i think about it. But we didn't know he wouldn't come back with us that day :( The vet was going to have a minor operation on him,after a few minutes he noticed how major his problem really was. He called my mum and told her that he has to put him to sleep and if he should wake him up again so we could say 'goodbye'. But we said that if it ever comes to make a decision we'd do whats best for Micki...thanks for asking, it's such a long story.

Thank you so much for posting this video. My cat Lucy, who I bottle fed her when she was one day old, died two years ago from feline dementia at the age of 15. Lucy died in my arms three months after she lost her mind. Not one day goes bye when I don't think about her. Thank you again. Janice M

I am truly sorry for ur loss I too just recently had to put down my dog due to two kinds of cancers that were eating her up. I too had to bare it alone well my boyfriend was there but no family. I know her gone will hurt me forever she was so special. again I am sorry.

Also the photos in the video are mainly photos where he was 14-17 so he was already an old little cat :)

my baby Freckles died last night at the age of 14, she was the sweatest cat i ever owned. i got her for my wife for a suprise last year, we called her our stuburned old ladie. When this year we got our new cat named Spots she didn't want nothing to do with him. but when she laid on our couch, Socks was right by her side. i watched my babie girl die. what gives me comfort is knowing we'll see her again someday.

@ooGuteLaunedrops I just lost my baby (cat) named Starlite to cancer this April. She'd been fighting cancer for the past few years and we thought we were in the clear, but she had suddenly gotten persistantly sick. During her explorative surgery they found out that her liver was full of tumors so...I told them not to wake her up, but they let me come down and say goodbye while they put her down. I think she knew how bad it was becaue the night before she lay her paw on me and gave me this look.

@DennisMX6 Oh NEIN! :( Ach Mensch das tut mir total leid! Man kann es gar nicht wirklich glauben das man seinen treuen Freund jetzt nie wieder sieht oder. Der Schmerz geht nie wirklich weg, Micki ist seit 2 jahren nicht mehr bei mir und ich denke immer noch fast täglich an ihn...ich kann mir das Video nicht angucken ohne wieder los zu heulen. Ich wünsche dir ganz viel Kraft und Zeit die Trauer zu verarbeiten! Sammy geht es jetzt besser als vorher besonders mit einem 'alten Hasen' im Himmel^^

@guyguy101001 I don't know what breed he is. My fathers friends daughter picked him up in a nature reserve when he was a few weeks old and when her dad told her to bring him back his mum was gone with all his siblings. They already had a cat, so my dad took him to our place :) sorry for that! but i think he must be a normal domestic breed, no one knows who his mum and dad were, maybe they were cats with owners maybe wild cats^^

O my god! Like 5 years ago when I was 8 my cat died I wasn't sad because I knew he wasn't suffering anymore (his kidneys were shutting down) but then my parents made me and my sisters write letters to stick in the box with him before he was buried and then I couldn't stop crying because it was then that I realized I could never see or play with him again. And now your kitty is making me cry again! :( :((((( :'(

my dog got hit by a car like in the fall last year i think and the moron who hit him kept going didnt even stop we all rushed outside and all u see is cute lil charlie sittin there in the road there was lots of traffic everyone gettin out of there cars we took em to the vet and he was hurt on his head (sorry fot bad spelling iwas crying) and the vet was down the street so atleast he died close to me

My Cat Link died at the age of 7 because had a blood clot in the junction where the vain splint into his two back legs. So he had no movement in his legs. He was getting better until he had another blood in his chest near his lungs so he had trouble breathing. He was chocking on his own spit. He was also breathing really hard. He was sufffering alot and i felt so bad. The doctors said that he soulsn't last the night. They were right....Link died on Friday June 24th, 2011 at 11:50pm May He R.I.P.
