Alright I know this is already a dead issue, but how is it that this show has drill almost exactly like Coppell's show from the same year, yet gets ranked four places above? (Just an fyi, Coppell and Duncanville had the same drill writer for this year)

well,

it all come down to fundamentals. duncanville has a great fundamentals instructor. the stronger the fundamentals are the better you are at marching and so forth. just because you have the same drill doesn't mean you execute it the same way. a drill writer doesn't define how good your band is.

To answer your question, its the same way a band takes a piece to contest and gets a 3 when another band gets a 1 on the same piece. Like Devnxx said it's about the execution. However, say both executed the SAME drill the exact same way. It's subjective to who the judge liked better. Maybe better horn angles, or uniform colors, in a judges mind could be any number of reasons. To be honest i think it's not so much marching but the music quality that keeps duncanville consistently in the top bands

oh yeah its tough my school made it the only one in our region to go to state

but we ended up twenty sumtin

out of 33 or so but we knew y i mean

wow these bands r amazing but

even smaller bands lik 3A 2A 1A

Wow!!! How did this band not win? They even sing and it sounds awesome. Great hits and whoaaa--Belshazzar's Feast...Holy S*&%!!! Not like our band and we were there.

Looks like their show as quite a bit easier than the top 2. They maxed out their show but the judges probably gave the others more leeway because of the difficulty.
