I think when pop singers decide to do a cover af an opera song they show to people who are not interested in opera that opera songs have melody. Pop singers don't have pathetic voice. saying that it's just snobbery. I wanna say that not every people who like Opera are snobish. I'm not. I love Haendel and i think Barbra is doing a great job with this song.
when pop singers loose their minds and think they can sing opera and their team doesn't stop them they show just how pathetic their voice and technique are. Streisand sings pop very well but opera will never be her thing it is beyond her power, skill and talent.
