The worst thing about it was the officer pulled him out of the car after he complied. He even had his seat belt on and he was being pulled out of the car. He didn't like that fact that the husband was talking with the other officer. This is America, and you are allowed to talk to the police. These cops are bullies. And who wouldn't get out of their car when their wife is given some extensive test. I would be concerned for her.
To taser a 54 year old man that had been drinking was unnecessary. He probably couldn't even run far from the cops it was so cold out with snow. Those cops are fucked up I've been arrested in Mundelein so many times for pointless things most of the time they made up shit to make it look worse. Moved away & haven't been arrested over something pointless ever since!
This was fucked up. Jean & Steven Kotlinski should not have been treated like that. Why the hell didn't the cop just give her a breath test to blow into???? She wasn't drunk according to the news reports!
Ok, I just watched the full video. From the time the cop told the man "get back in the car" until he was in the car was 35 seconds. The man did comply within a reasonable amount of time.
For some unknown reason they handcuffed the wife (who was completely sober) and put her in the police car for having a license plate that had expired 2 HOURS earlier.
Of course the cops charged him with resisting, and 2 counts of "battery on a law enforcement officer" and the man was found NOT GUILTY!

The wife was just detained and they said that to her, she wasnt under arrest. and the man did not comply , after he swore at them and made a big deal about sitting quitly, he was technically under arrest for obstructing allowing force to be used to make the arrest
actually you would be doing the same thing if your wife or husband or gf was in that position. If you watch after he was told to get back in the car he did right away, now why they thought it was ok to pull him out after his wife blew a 0.0 thats the question. Fine example of excessive force and cops thinking they have the right to do as they wish. Nice job to these two beating on an old man!
