  • and to know that Poongko would go on to perfect Daigo a couple of years later...

  • everybody whos is playing with dhalsim online plays so fucking gay but ryu is overrated too.

  • @jonkyjonky "Fucking kids these days find a way to cry about anything."

You just added yourself to this statistic.

  • haha during the whole time i was like "kick his ass sim! ryu is overrated!!"

  • Dhalsim is so different from any other Street Fighter character. You sit there, and even though you know exactly what to do and when to do it, it is so goddamn stressful. Unlike a Ryu where you can get by on one or two tactics, you have to actively use every tool Dhalsim has to win...

    ... IYO IS A DIETY.

  • Dhalsim - C H E A T E R

  • 4:59 classic iyo dhalsim combo,

i always try to do that combo in a real battle, but i always fail miserably and gettin my ass kciked for teleportin myself right to the enemy

  • @bobta maybe you should try not randomly teleporting but doing it whilst the opponent is in recovery frames? just sayin, lol.

  • Why does EX Shoryuken get through Dhalsim's Ultra and Super moves?

  • poongko is one of the most offensive minded players on the circuit. His rush downs are legendary....Iyo is just in a different class though.

  • .....why does Iyo make Dhalsim look so easy to play..? >.>

  • The way poongko kept Iyo in the corner under pressure around 3:20 was just insane

  • Ryu's Poongko is more technical than Daigo's Ryu. It's good to see a Ryu without hadouken epileptic crisis.

  • @JJyuza I think it's the other way around. Poongko has no footsies. He couldn't even deal with Daigo's in terms of this event. He's straight rushdown/mixup.

  • this guy is too good with DHALSIM, i thing he love more DHALSIM than hot chiks used DIRTY PANTIES, too bad 4 him

  • @ISniffDirtyPanties actually, if you've ever seen Iyo, he is a good looking guy and most likely can pull chicks with no effort. And of course, he is the smartest Sim player we have ever seen

  • @McReins he is a good looking guy? i thing ur a girl no?

  • ohh my god i've never seen a dhalsim like that. Iyo sure takes dhalsim to other level

  • poongko has an interesting style that is quite his own. almost like a machine. of course, clockwork is easy to figure out for someone like Iyo, the man is a fucking monster in his own right.

  • Pretty neat.

  • poongko play like hes mad, very agressive, perfect execution of combos, but also repetitive i do not find it strange he lost to iyo

  • very nice game specialy poongko was very nice but he was a little bit too offensiv

  • That ryu guy is cheap, he tries to grab way to much, even if 70% of them get parried out

  • @gummyboots cheap is the newfag's term that means "I don't know how to play."

  • @RruuhzyA oh cool you have an opinion too.

  • @gummyboots hahahahaha he's cheap because he *grabs too much* lol you're a fag...dude grabs are part of da game. They are pretty nice and they are not broken.Live with it or get the fuck out.

  • @TheDonaldduck911 If you aren't mature enough to give me a good response, maybe YOU need to leave. Oh let me type it in a way even YOU can understand

Man shut the fuck up you stupid fag maybe they dont need to be grabbin so much dude, i mean all that ain't even necessary or nuthin. Man you aren't even polite enough to respect others opinions before you go off on them like some annoying 12 year old that waste there whole day on the computer. you got anymore Bullshit to throw at me?

  • @gummyboots hmmm maybee i have...hahahaha lol

  • @jonkyjonky its not that hes cheap or anything its just that Poongko can only pull of these offensive tactics because ryu is a cheap character

  • big props to the ryu player. did alot of exciting combos and movements and because ryu is such a balanced charcter to use.

  • 0:23, sick crouching jab..... :D:D

  • epic up till end of round 5

  • I fking agree.

  • Come on 4,5 stars and there were just waaaaaaay too many crowd pleasers in this one! :)

  • lmao he hits him once with hurricane kick and the guy goes OH!

  • @FOXOF123

There is no respect in fighting games, they were playing in a tournament, Playing to win. You have just as much ability to tech a throw as the opponent does to attempt one. It is a skill that needs to be learned and it takes reading to see the throw coming. Unfortunately, noobs like you just think they are the best naturally and need not practice simple things like Getting out of frame traps or tick throws.... you know... because.... that takes work and a brain and practice.

  • Shut up.seriously shut up.you obviously don't understand difference gameplay styles.

  • hae ppl try this guys dhalsim KAOSNZ he on the playstation 3 network he rated as good as iyo

  • Dhalsim is so worth learning. Imma get good with him so I can smash everyone in SF4

  • Poongko's a cocky guy dude anyway. Glad he got pwn3d

  • yeah true if you watch all of his videos he always has a smirk on his face. What an idiot

  • How is he cocky?

  • haha lollllllllllllll UR THE MEN!

  • Best Dhalsim ever

  • haha dhalsim takes long time to learn...so iyo s double better than any ryu on this planet!

  • @matrixITALIA so why does he loose to ryu's then lol

  • @MultiMAGICDAN because he's still learning :D

  • Best Dhalsim player I've ever seen in my life.

  • I was rooting for Iyo the whole time. Dudes a fuckin' machine!

  • I love their playing style, very exciting match. Both of them are great player

  • WTF iyo can be too good

  • Korea is all about speed in games. Ever watch starcraft matches? Their hands turn into 20 fingers.

  • lol

  • i alway tell people lyo knows every trick in the book.. so u batter ply smart not like that ryu always charging/ the japen saget would of kill that ryu,...

  • What do you mean by "the japan saget"?

  • You always have to rush down Dhalsim so he has no room to zone with his long ass limbs.. and besides, it's Poongkos play style. It's like telling a bboy that his style is stupid or something... that is what your comment was saying to me...

  • GG iyo !

  • thanks I got it lol!

  • Comment removed

  • lol I still can't seem to do it. are you sure that's how he does it? before pressing ppp he's holding down jump and forward so before he lands behind his opponent he can high punch. it's shit easy to do it after a jump but straight off the ground I can't see to do it your way

  • how does iyo tele and high punch while stil in air before he hits the ground after a teleport? when I tele I can't high punch. does he jump and quickly tele? thanks in advance :)

  • You do the teleport motion, but continue to up+forward before you press ppp, that way you'll teleport very quickly after leaving the ground.

  • that ryu is very aggressive. i like that, compared to those boring waiting defensive fighter..thats my opinion..i know its too risky but you can see good combos from those aggressive fighters.

  • ya i agree..

  • @esrbt

true, but combo's aren't the end all of fighting games, more important is looking for the oppertunity to land your combo's safely without being punished. By mind games, Mix ups and Hit confirming you can gaurantee that you will land your combo and not be blocked and take big punish damage

  • woooooooow this shit was fuckin INTENSE!!!!

  • I would like to see Momochi vs Poongko, I love Poongko's style, he's complete offense, must be very intimidating to opponents.

  • i would like to see momochi figthing iyo

  • Wow, exciting. I remember when I was in the second round of the gamestop tourney, there were OOOHs and AAAAAHs every match. Especially this one vega vs. vega match, it was intense. Unfortunately I lost, but it was still extremely fun, I can't wait for the next tourney.

  • Ok? Good to know I guess.

  • 2:08 What a come back!

  • Every match is the same. Poongko chases after Iyo like a madman with the hopes of getting in. By time time he finally gets Iyo cornered, he either applies enough offensive pressure to take him out, or more commonly, he's lost so much health during the chase that he's already lost it.

Poongko has solid tactics, but he didn't realize that the chase is exactly what a Dhalsim player wants you to go through.

  • i no he takes to many hits from sim but when he does get in he is a beast

  • @jetsyrup as a Dhalsim player were at are best when we have someone cornerd.

chasing is not always wanted, because if your corned shit sux

  • @jetsyrup

how else are you supposed to beat dhalsim... you have to get in

  • @YauhanSayaovong

Yes, you have to get in, but you also have to be smart about it. You can't just dash, jump, and hurricane kick your way to victory.

  • @jetsyrup

I think he knows how to play ryu better than anyone here...

  • @YauhanSayaovong

That's very likely. However, the "absolute rushdown" style he was using back then isn't appropriate for all opponents. I was pointing out what he did wrong, but I was in no way challenging his abilities.

  • @jetsyrup Nevertheless, I respect Poongko way more than Daigo.Fireball spamming, abusing with numerous stopping attacks like shoryukens is what any n00b does, Daigo is just a tad better. It takes great courage & skillZ to play rush down, with chess-like strategy that fast, it takes lighting fast reflexes and mind, and it also means you respect your opponent by not turtling.Although most prefere the ugliest, most faggot victory over an epic fight, hardcore fans choose the latter.Sorry, copycats.

  • @FIxt00l This is a month old... But I feel the need to comment. I hope that you have picked up the game within this timeframe to rethink things about "fireball spam" and "abusing numerous stopping attacks like shoryukens". Anyone can spam a SRK, but it takes skill to place them correctly. It also takes great skill to trick people into doing things to bait them into those SRK's. Air and Daigo, pre AE are the best Ryu's i've seen. Skills to pay the bills. Man up and stop being a bitch over tactic.

  • Great match. Poongko played a superb 4th round.

I wonder how much experience Poongku has had with his Dhalsim matchup. Less than with other characters I expect.

    Once again...great match!
