That lens looks EXACTLY the same as every other pos point and shoot for sale.

I bet my Kodak Easyshare Z740 takes better pictures and likely has WAY more zoom.

Mabye if the Coolpix had bigger lens... infact, the who camera needs to be close to the size of an SLR.

It's the glass and construction. If you take a crappy zoom lens and a high end 100mm zoom lens that is the same size, you'll see an enormous amount of difference in quality.

Though they didn't say the lens was good, they just said it was a Nikon XD.
