Unfortunately, there are 12 dislikes...it would've been kind of awesome if there were 11. (Face it, people. There will be dislikes. People don't like it - deal with it. There's nothing wrong with that.)
@DeadBunny69 Nigel appeared via satellite prior to the rest of Spinal Tap but his satellite hook up died so David Gilmour took over. David can play fretless bass guitar no problem (something that Roger Hitler (I mean Waters)) could not play.
Three questions... 1) Why is Derek Smalls wearing a neck brace...was that part of the act or was he really injured? 2) Where the hell is Nigel? and 3) Is that Guy Pratt (stranding right next to David) playing the third bass guitar on this track? This video is crazy awesome!

This is SO over the top...I cannot stop laughing! Thanks for the post, it put a smile back on my face after a stressful day. It is good to be silly. And with Mr. Gilmour playing on this has me laughing even harder.
Where's Nigel? Did that bitch Janine cause another rift between Nigel and David? I see Derek (Mr. Luke Warm Water!) stayed with David. I wish they would get back with Ross MacLochness. Roy Buchanon is known as the greatest guitarist that you/'ve never heard: MacLochNess is the Greatest keyboard player that nobody has ever heard.
@tomthefunky I would imagine the band members of Pink Floyd thought the "Stonehenge" concert in the movie was hilarious. Since It was a parody of all those big production concerts Floyd was famous for. Although, I doubt that Gilmour or Waters ever considered using dancing dwarfs in their shows...

Any guitar player can play Bass if they want to . It's the same tuning just an octave lower. I remember hearing that David Gilmour played the Fretless Bass parts on the Wall because Roger had a hard time playing without frets, I don't know how true that is but I did hear it somewhere.
You are right about gilmour played the bass instead of roger on the parts of the wall. Actually Gilmour played the bass in another brick in the wall and in one of these days originally.
Gilmour is a genius!!! and so is roger for his genius lyrichs

I sorta agree with you in some ways, but that is not always the case. In some bands, the bass is the main driving force behind the music, with the guitar sorta filling in the gaps. A lot of Iron Maiden stuff is like that, plus the Chillis etc. But in my opinion really great bands mix their albums so that everything sorta blends together.
And yeah, ive been a guitarist for 15 years and i only played a bass recently, and i sorta rocked. So yeah, any guitarist can just pick up a bass it seems.
That's untrue. A guitarist can play bass, but they have to alter their mindset. Unless ego is a problem a guitarist can easily switch to playing in the background.
More like David giving Roger bass lessons that is. Majorisen74 is correct. David did play base on several albums as Roger was not up to the parts. Mainly fretless base parts.
Roger won a few awards on the bass lines for the wall, and never mentioned David was the one playing them...
So... Did Gilmour made Pigs 3 diff. ones (Animals) intro? (sounds fretless)? I think Hey you (The Wall) gave fretless bass sound too after guitar solo...
David actually gave lessons to Sid when the band first started, and when Sid drifted away from the band David stepped in as a "short term" replacement that turned permanent over time. Any slide base you hear is not Roger up to Pink Floyd's last album, The Final Cut. I do not know if Roger ever learned to play slide bass. Additionally, David did play many parts that Roger could not play. Roger is by no means an accomplished Bass player, he is a song writer, singer, and Bass Player in that order..
