  • Under sun and sky, outlander. We greet you warmly.

    <333333333

  • I got a boner...

  • While I love this song, it really bothered me that it was in skyrim.

When I hear it, I just feel so relaxed and at peace playing skyrim. Then I remember the level scaling, linear questlines, and the fact that the game botforces you to play as a warrior and grind up your smithing skill to compete with all the fucking dragons that keep ruining your day.

They just can't nail the freedom and bliss that is playing morrowind.

  • @0hypnotoad0 Level scaling!? The others are all relevant complaints though and I will counter each one. Warriors are SLIGHTLY overpowered, but as I recall its the same in morrowind! Linear quests? Some, not all. For example you have the option to rebel against azura and damage her artifact or help her. Smithing? Only optional and there were far more broken skills in morrowind and oblivion. I love my childhood games just like you but that doesnt mean you go round hating the new gen games.

  • @0hypnotoad0 And by the way I am not a morrowind hater either I love it too. I just think the two games are equal. Oblivion on the other hand...

  • @0hypnotoad0 The freedom and bliss of being constantly attacked by cliffracers.

    P.S. I love TES.

  • When this song started playing in Skyrim, I got these deja vues, shut it down, started Morrowind, and believe me, the game Skyrim hasn't been started ever since.

  • close your eyes and listen to the whole thing (:

  • Original Title: Silt Sunrise

  • I love that this is featured, albeit improved, in Skyrim.

  • @dagothily It was in Oblivion too.

  • This is my favorite song in Skyrim. The magic of Morrowind will never be beaten.

  • Haha. I remember when I was like 8 and got this game, and I would always stay in Balmora cuz I'd always get lost anywhere else. I also remember rooting through the crates and stuff outside of buildings, finding useful stuff, and selling it to shopkeepers so I could get that Balmoran guard armor (looks sweet). Haha, good times, good times.

  • "Seen any elves? Hahahaha!"

  • Morning in Balmora...

  • 1:24 best part, the sparkles complete it :D

  • i love how this plays in skyrim :'D

    morrowind was wonderful

  • @OverlordMD yeah dude :D when i heard it playing in skyrim it brought back so many memories.

  • Alright....play this music while playing Minecraft. One of the best MC experiences i have ever had :)

Oh and this is like the best game ever :) random falling elf men :D

  • When this song played in Skyrim, tears came to my eyes. Brings me back...

  • @tazgrento Ha, me too i had a crap-load of goosebumps on my face and i almost cried :D

  • This is in oblivion as well as skyrim... AWESOME! = D

  • heh, think this is slightly remixed in Skyrim, but still awesome either way...

  • @WyldAli

    Yes it is. :)

  • LOL so many people came here for the same reason i did, this is in SKYRIM!!

  • The wave of nostalgia that came over me when I heard this in Skyrim was indescribable! Thank you Jeremy Soule! =D

  • THIS IS IN SKYRIM TOO! I love elder scrolls music

  • This is what I always liked to call the "Firmament" song. I examined the different Birthsigns. Nothing like constellations in the sky that make a big difference in what kind of a person you are.

If you born under the Steed, you were hurried and impatient. If you were born under the Warrior, you were short-tempered. If you born under the Lady, you were graceful and kind.

  • This tune is almost completely in it's original form (this form) in Skyrim, check gameplay demo 3, the beginning.

  • @gamerIV i was JUST doing the comparison/search. i watched the 20min demo of Skyrim; nostalgia hit me in the face when i heard the song playing when they got outside with the mammoths and giants, and i knew i had heard it from Morrowind. went threw each Morrowind 'explore' soundtrack lol

  • Reminds me of the time I first ventured into the Grazelands and figured out where all the hackle-lo leaves were coming from. One of the things I'll never forget about morrowind is how long I could go without finding a certain place and the amazement I felt when I first got there... solstheim, grazelands, sadrith mora, ghostfence, I'm looking at you. Long live the REAL elder scrolls games, I hope skyrim will be one as well!

  • This is the song I remember while walking into Vivec City for the first time. It puts a shiver down my spine.

  • This song has become a tradition for TES :D

  • Fuck yes, it's in Skyrim. I was a bit worried about Skyrim but now I have to pre-order it.

  • This sound track is on SKYRIM!! /watch?v=r9ntoCxhGkw&feature=related

  • haha yes! i too came looking for this when i heard it in the skyrim vid. it came on when the mammoths showed up.

this one reminds me of arriving at Tel Branoa. you get off the boat and walk for a bit, then you look up, and lo and behold there's this giant...mushroom...tower...thing. just looming overhead so awesome.

  • They've put this theme in Skyrim WOOT!!!!

  • /watch?v=r9ntoCxhGkw

    IN SKYRIM

  • This is also in Skyrim!!

  • @Hugt1

Yeah I am so happy this is in Skyrim. :D

  • @Hugt1 Yeah I just saw a trailer on IGN, in part 3 of the trailer this music is featured. Man, did I nostalgia. Been looking through all of Youtube for this piece of music.

  • @Bana871 Hahaha same here! I even started to play Morrowind again today!

  • @Hugt1 DID You try the new Overhaul for sound and graphics?!?!?! It looks even better than oblivion O.O. Add a body replacer and animations mod and it's perfect

  • @KissMyBlade Woah no! Whats it called??

  • @Hugt1 It's called MOrrowind Graphics and Sound Overhaul =D LOL I was like wat...You can search it on youtube!! There's videos of the new graphics and it's AMAZING!!! I'm wasting my time with it now until Skyrim comes out =D

  • I remember using the soultrap cheat to this music when I got bored after I defeated Dagoth Ur. Such fond memories.

  • Idk about you guys but I still play this game all the time

  • Kill random person in their home...this song plays as you gawk at their dead body...

    All the fucking time.

  • glad they put this in oblivion too (remixed)

  • @TalonMercenary

you should listen to nerevar rising reprise now thats awesome too

  • Is Morrowind a video game?Or is it something else...An experience...It always was,it still is and it will still be...Again and forever,...

  • "Move along SCUM!!"

actually mate, i think i'll kill you and sell your armour to a scamp, cheers

  • @LargestCactus yes. IF my "best" memories are from morrowind i agree id have to get out more. but they're not. just reminds me alot of those old times as a kid! :D

  • @SICKESTMANIC Ohhhh I get it. Sorry I misread it.
