@ApricotOfLove "The Gong Show" was a show back in the '70s similar to "America's Got Talent" where instead of the judges telling you that you suck, they just whacked a huge gong behind them and you were removed from the stage and out of the game; but if the judges liked you, they scored you on a 1-10 scale with 10 being best; and the one with the most points would win a trophy and a check for $516.32, the minimum weekly salary of an actor in the SAG union.
Thank you for sharing the Match Game episodes. My teen daughter's friends are rediscovering it. People STILL ask me about my answers! I am launching a website this week with the sole purpose of sharing stories about the crazy things that were said and done when the cameras weren't rolling...some really funny stuff. Maybe I could link to your Youtube site? Also want to mention to any Happy Days fans that visit here that there is only 5 days left on the ebay auction of my Happy Days team jersey!
What a blast from the past to see these episodes after so many years! Kissing Gene was a highlight I will never forget. Cute teeth?
Does anyone have copies of the short-lived TV series "Legs" aka "Who's Wathching the Kids"?Would love to have the episode where I sang "Hopelessly Devoted" to Scott Baio.
@LorrieM1000 Hi Lorrie. I can't believe you are on youtube. That is awesome. You are watching this episode I posted that will no longer air on GSN anymore. We all feel its because Richard Dawson said something at the end. What do you remember about being on the show this week as it was Dawson's last week if you can remember at all? I have all your episodes on Match Game through the years including 79's week with Joe Santos BS CNR BD and MW. Also have the PM episodes with you as well!
@LorrieM1000 Better yet was your version of "Let's Hear It for the Boys" on the hangar deck of my aircraft carrier when you came aboard to entertain us. Homesick and exhausted, we really appreciated your reminding us of home and our loved ones. You put your all into it, and it really showed. It made that long, long deployment just a little easier to tolerate. You also certainly gained some new fans. You were the highlight of the show. I hope all is well with you.
Thank you for your service to this country! Growing up as an Army brat, I saw first hand the sacrificial love that our service men and women have for this nation. The USO tours I was privileged to be a part of - will always be a highlight in my career and life. You might enjoy some of the Germany USO Happy Days tour photos on my Happy Days and Other Great Memories Facebook page. I would love to have photos from the aircraft carrier tour if you have them. Happy Veterans Day!
@LorrieM1000 Growing up as an Air Force brat, I can relate. I've seen some of the photos from the Happy Days tours. I don't think I have any photos from the show on the carrier, unfortunately. If I come across any, I'll be sure to forward them, though. Have a great Thanksgiving.
@AgtBauer24 No kidding. Especially since Richard Dawson was part of the cast of that show. At the time it was probably torture enough for him continuing to do this and Family Feud at the same time.
i didn't see what was so bad about that question.

I couldn't think of a good answer to the well-mannered boyfriend question. Anyone have one?

Funny, the first show that came to mind was The Gong Show and teh Donnie/Marie Osmond Show.
Richard's expression was priceless though when she said "Hogan's Heroes."

It's banned for at least 3 reasons (a) Gene was hitting on the guest, (b) the 'terrorist' question or (c) the celebrities mocked Grace.
