  • Great to see James Chance and the Contortions again after so many years. I saw them several times in Minneapolis in the '80s and have never forgotten feeling that energy. I see their used recordings selling for exorbitant sums on Amazon - especially the very cool James White and the Blacks "off white".

  • It's wrong... just wrong, James added a sax player that can actually play. His non-playing screeching was so much much cooler.

  • The original Contortions really kicked ass. Punk had gotten so stale by that time that No Wave was more than welcome.
