if you bought a "fast most powerful compound on the market" then you should have at least know that there are arrows out there that can take the force of your bow. Besides, arrows do waver, regardless how strong the material of the arrow is.

And wood arrows are a big NO NO when using a compound bow. you should now that. at least.

A recurve basically curves twice, hence the term. All bows of course curve back, but then it "recurves" forward away from the archer on the ends. Also, yeah they are somewhat shorter. Google a picture or something it should be obvious.
