I've been watching Canadian Idol for a while now, I'm a huge fan of Carly Rae Jepsen. When I heard this band perform, I was blown away. Utterly amzing. I'm definitely buying the cd. If anyone can suggest a location for finding it,(preferably in the Toronto area), I would appreciate it.
For the money, the Emperor Regent is really quite a good deal. If you want an acoustic swing sound put bronze strings on it and you can get a fair bit of volume. I swapped out the original rosewood bridge for an ebony bridge. It's inexpensive for an archtop so you're never too worried about getting it banged up--always a plus if you gig with it a lot.
Nice unhurried thoughtful tenor (Conn 10M?) solo - no showing off or technique for technique's sake.
