Ok. This video seriously contradicts itself. It tries to use a realistic court scenario claiming no judge would let a criminal go because he "was sorry". True. But then later the video poses the scenario of someone offering to take the punishment for you in a court of law. That same sensible judge that was referenced earlier would never allow that to happen in real life (because it's asinine)! So using a real life judge as an analogy only works when it's convenient for your argument.

For example, Orthodox Jews would state that Jesus was a false Messiah. Muslims believe that Jesus was a great teacher, but not God. Ok. This video seriously contradicts itself. It tries to use a realistic court scenario claiming no judge would let a criminal go because he "was sorry". True. But then later the video poses the scenario of someone offering to take the punishment for you in a court of law. That same sensible judge that was referenced earlier would never allow that to happen in real life (because it's asinine)! So using a real life judge as an analogy only works when it's convenient for your argument.

God is infinitely more generous to you than you could ever be towards Him. He didn't change it. He allows us to live on Earth so that we may repent of our sin and glorify Him. The Bible says, "This is the end of the matter. Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man" (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

Why shouldn't we read the Bible literally?
1) There has been no archaeological evidence that disproves any of the historical facts in the Bible.
2) All of the scientific statements in the Bible are years ahead of any contemporary authors. For just one example, Job 26:7 states that God hangs the earth on nothing, but at the time the wise Greeks believed the earth sat on the back of a turtle. Guess who was right? The Bible.

3) There are fulfilled prophecies in the Bible, such as those about Jesus' birth & death. Is 53 and Ps 22, written hundreds of years before crucifixion was invented, describe the ordeal Jesus suffered to an astonishing degree of accuracy. Also, independent authors like Pliny the Younger and Josephus verify the NT account.
4) Fear is not always a bad thing. Fear of car accidents makes you wear your seat belt. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."
That's my evidence, where's yours?

Actually, there is reasonable evidence that the gospels were written within 35 years the events inside; if they had been written later that AD70, they surely would have included such important information as the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem, which Jesus foretold (Matthew 24:1). They are not mentioned in the gospel, so it is reasonable to conclude that they had not happened yet.

A basic tenet of logic is called the law of non-contradiction. Two or more contradictory statements cannot be true.
For example, Orthodox Jews would state that Jesus was a false Messiah. Muslims believe that Jesus was a great teacher, but not God. Christians would say that Jesus is in fact both God and the Jewish Messiah. All three of these beliefs are totally contradictory, so how can all three faiths be "tomayto, tomahto"?
