  • I need a gas station, did I pass one?

No, but the fox did. Squeeze him right there, maybe he'll pass another one.

  • Thank you for this! My dad has the albums and I don't get to hear them as often as I did about 20-25 years ago. He copied them onto tapes and we would listen to them on car rides. Happy memories, so thank you again!

  • marx bros meets w.c.fields meets carlin meets zappa meets pot, acid, and mescaline meets 30's Radio meets depression-era movie theater serials meets pre-sitcom bizarre cable comedy meets steve allen meets ernie kovacs - my fave amalgam of contemporary history and bizarre 50s & 60s pop culture incredulity. firesign theater quartet were four of a kind. never equaled.

  • Hey I know...let's stand him on his head!

  • Thanks for the pieces but I would like to have the whole thing, greedy guts that I am!

  • To this day, whenever I'm on a roadtrip, I "hear" the roadsigns talking to me. No...really.

  • Outstanding.

  • Back in the 80s me and my buddy Bob would listen to these guys or Frank Zappa combined with copius amounts of weed and orange soda!lol!

  • I used to listen to firesign theatre with my dad all the time as a kid <3 Thanks for putting this up!

But I have to ask, why'd you cut it off right before they sing about 'this land'? That was one of my favourite parts.

  • I recite these lines like Shakespeare at appropriate moments. Sometimes I get "Yes! I know that..." Absolutely brilliant artists, nice they live on through this medium.

  • I used to be able to recite these albums almost from memory I listened to them so much ! great to hear them again so clear ! I love radio comedy ... a lost art ... in many ways better than video because your imagination can always fill in the blanks better than most video can. A great way to spend a rainy afternoon listening to these !

  • No, but the fox did!

  • @atthehops We would get SO hammered and listen to these hugely hysterical dudes in high scool circa 1975. Funny thing is they're funnier without being hammered. GENIUS!

  • Cool beans! thanks for putting this on YouTube. It's nice to hear it so crisp with all the background stuff so easy to understand. . .

  • He's no fun.....He fell right over!
