Thank you for this! My dad has the albums and I don't get to hear them as often as I did about 20-25 years ago. He copied them onto tapes and we would listen to them on car rides. Happy memories, so thank you again!
marx bros meets w.c.fields meets carlin meets zappa meets pot, acid, and mescaline meets 30's Radio meets depression-era movie theater serials meets pre-sitcom bizarre cable comedy meets steve allen meets ernie kovacs - my fave amalgam of contemporary history and bizarre 50s & 60s pop culture incredulity. firesign theater quartet were four of a kind. never equaled.
I recite these lines like Shakespeare at appropriate moments. Sometimes I get "Yes! I know that..." Absolutely brilliant artists, nice they live on through this medium.
I used to be able to recite these albums almost from memory I listened to them so much ! great to hear them again so clear ! I love radio comedy ... a lost art ... in many ways better than video because your imagination can always fill in the blanks better than most video can. A great way to spend a rainy afternoon listening to these !
@atthehops We would get SO hammered and listen to these hugely hysterical dudes in high scool circa 1975. Funny thing is they're funnier without being hammered. GENIUS!
I need a gas station, did I pass one?
No, but the fox did. Squeeze him right there, maybe he'll pass another one.

To this day, whenever I'm on a roadtrip, I "hear" the roadsigns talking to me. No...really.

I used to listen to firesign theatre with my dad all the time as a kid <3 Thanks for putting this up!
But I have to ask, why'd you cut it off right before they sing about 'this land'? That was one of my favourite parts.
