I disagree. He was trying to pop the ball out BEFORE he entered the endzone. Think about it. if he does pop the ball out and tackle Rodgers, Rodgers would not be able to recover the football because Hall has tackled him. The actual tackle happened in the endzone, yes. But the initial contact where he tried to pop the ball out happened just before the line. Had there not been a flag to bring that play back, and Hall popped the ball out of Rodgers hands, that would have been a fumble, not a TD
If that would have occured on the sideline, it would have been deemed a late hit out of bounds. If he wanted to strip the ball, there is was plain as can be for him to punch at from behind with his right hand. He didn't. It wasn't purposeful or malicious, but it cost the kid his season. Flag it.
Going for the strip or not, there was no reason to tackle him that far in the end zone. No different than someone going out of bounds. As soon as they cross the line, you are supposed to let up or it's a late hit.
