Ah man. I need something like this! I've been trying to make a Stargate Fan-Video, but can't find a good way to get my Stargate animated. I'd preferably like pre-rendered footage as I don't have any 3D software... I've just got Premiere Pro and After Effects... Any advice?

@dharcoon I agree completely! Love the sounds. I actually recorded them myself from Air Part 3, the bit af the start when they dial the Gate from the desert planet, theres no music in the background so it was a natural choice :)

@Gat986 thank you for your comment! I made it on my own experimenting with lattice deformation and shape keys in blender, its not 100% great, but it was good enough for me to be satisfied with lol

ya dude the gate needs to spin a little faster!u gots the colors down and everything.i would like to see this render dial thru each symbol then have the "kwoosh" then stay on for a good 20 seconds then disengage!

Thank you for the comments I really appreciate it, I know its not perfect its still very much a work in progress. Ive speeded up the chevrons lighting and fixed a few more little things that were bothering me, added more detail as well. Will put up a new version as soon as I finish rendering :)

the chevrons need to come on faster. they light up fast then continue to dial

yours was slowly turning to white chevrons then spin
