  • if it's not an alternate take it must be an alternate MIX--don't like the OD'd fuzzy Bass...

  • This song is the best one that i have heard many Who's records.

    Is this another take ?

    A little bit slow!

    Wonderful instrument !!

  • Great tribute to our canine pals, and one of the coolest WhoTunes ever!

  • id imagine looking at the sheet music for the drums in this song and thinking someone just shot some line paper with a shotgun

  • @XPHALCON - had the good fortune after purchasing Happy Jack in '68, to get the Pinball Wizard single as soon as it arrived at the ..Record Store!! lol Little did I know what lurked on the other side! I tried to replicate it on my used Red Pearl Drum set, resulting in more fun than accuracy!! Everytime I hear it I'm snapped right back to that time. That was Rock!! Thanks - great tune and dogs - WAY ahead of it's time!!!

  • DAMMIT - now I want a dog! Thanks for posting this...I had never heard this B-Side before now, and I've been a fan of the group since first hearing QUADROPHENIA back in the mid Seventies!

  • The songwriters are "Moon-Towser-Jason." The latter two refer to the dogs owned by Pete Townshend and John Entwistle respectively.

  • Hooray for Moon the Loon !

  • Moon was the best drummer I have ever heard or seen...I once read an article where he was referred to as the "Idiot Prince of Rock Drummers"....he had his issues offstage, but put him behind a set of drums, and nobody else EVEN COMES CLOSE.... as this song demonstrates.

  • @UnclePaulie52 He wasn't an idiot. He did suffer from depression and other things like that from what I've heard...also, boredom.

  • @UnclePaulie52 Please tell me you're kidding....you might want to open up to some other drummers ;)

  • can anyone actually play this the whole way through???

  • @ToolahTheGreat On drums i mean of course. I just attempted to play this again and felt like my arms were going to fall off.

  • @ToolahTheGreat ofc mate you just need to get into mr. moon's shoes :D

  • I have this single as well but I have never heard the original Dogs.

  • I still have the 45 rpm vinyl record of this... I think I bought it in 1971. Got the Two's Missing CD as well later on, but I always loved this track. Couldn't understand why it was never on a proper album. I'm not surprised that some long-time Who fans have never heard this...

  • This captures the spirit of dogs.

The Who capture the spirit of rock n roll

    Dogs=rock n roll

  • First heard this song about 25 years ago - it's the B side to Pinball Wizard.I think this is the version from the 'Tommy' Deluxe cd - the vinyl b side is much more raw in my opinion - a superb track !!

  • Beautiful riffs by Pete Townshend and love the adorable pics of the dogs and The Who boys...well done!

  • I love dogs and I love the Who, so this is perfect!

  • I've been a Who fan for more than half my life, since the mid 70's, and this is my first exposure to this song. It sounds very dated, but the power Moon brings to this song is frightening. I think I can finally die in peace now. Thanks for the upload. XPHALCON

  • His drumming just screams confidence.

  • can't ever seem to find this song

  • First watch and first comment :3 This time I'll save it before they take it down D<
