@RocklessLolipopStar You have to put in multiple video channels (layers) into your project. The video didn't show it, but chroma keying is used to make Nyhm appear in front of the background. Feel free to check out my machinima tutorial or just do a search for other tutorials that explain how.

This is really cool. I'm an aspiring would-be machinimator and the problem I see with WoW machinima is that it really starts to show it's age with the same animations and low resolution textures. However, thanks to the new armor pieces, color and lighting adjustments, it still looks good. That clip at 3:26 is really badass, how the setting is all dark. It goes really well with the armor. I also think that the next step is to import these models into 3D programs and animate them ourselves.

@psybermage8 this video wasn't from when I was actually making the blood elf movie, so it cuts out A LOT of tinkering around with model viewer/sizing/toning/etc. Since I already made the vid, the presets were still there so all I had to do was check the box for a certain effect.. Since most of the scenes were only 1 animation/emote however, I was able to finish the machinima a lot faster than my others.

@ressidentdevil2 all of the backgrounds were taken from wow model viewer or in game. I used a few backgrounds that were from portals in model viewer. I just zoom in all the way and record it. The background for WoPair's toon is actually from the Dark Portal in model viewer for instance.

Might I ask a question, Quix0tica? I am seeing you doing these very great effects (mostly with soft contrast), but I am not really being told how to do stuff. Do you think you can put in annotations or otherwise to better learners like me?

@konack1 perhaps I could go back and slow it down for a part. Colors is just based on preference for the most part, no real set rules. I could show you how I color tone 1 model, but then the next model I pull in could be completely different. It's something people just need to play with a lot until they get the result they want.

@NeroVurilProductions I like to think I have a pretty good computer. It's pretty new. As far as playback, I mostly have to preview stuff as Draft > Full. If I have a lot of layers/effects then I have to go on the lowest one (I think it's auto). If it's an already rendered video without effects I can play if on high quality though.
