As a Westerner who was fooled for 20 years about we being free and modern and whatsoever, I sincerely consider the Iranian one really admirable system from which we all have so much to learn from. The way in which the spirit of the culture is being preserved there against the toughest economical, political and cultural interventionism shows Iranian leaders are nothing disconnected from Iranian evolution and overwhelming cultural background.
I completely agree. Another reason why I am in favour of Jomhuriye Eslami over Shah is because Shah was trying to 'Westernise' and secularise Iran - something which I find disgusting, seeing as we come from such a historically and culturally rich country. However the regime is not ideal, there is not complete freedom within the people. Do you know what I'm trying to say? I don't mean either the Islamic Republic or the Shah were bad people..
You should (only an advise from me) put all you've heard and seen in Iran to 0, you should reset your mind and consume information about Iran from your own eyes once again, hear live in the streets of Tehran and go to different occasions in Iran, you will understand what I am talking about,the untold reality is that majority of Iranians of Iran are for this regime (and they have their reasons), it's just that the world or the Iranians like you and me whom travel to Iran at summer or what else..
do not get to see the residents of villages such as beautiful kaddegoosh or any other, the majority of the villagers are for this regime, the vast majority of the religious youth and elders are for the regime and even a great part of the "modernized" youth whom roam the streets at night are for this regime, because it is a regime with good laws from Islamic shari3ah, it has its errors but the west and the shahan shahis have exaggerated it for the sake of the negative pr to people!
