"Is your kid having a temper tantrum? Pick him up, take him outside, and sit down with him in the car for a time-out. Wait until he's stopped crying. Inform him he has now lost all (insert favorite activity) privileges. Take away favorite activity. Problem solved."
@juliewashere88 I'd just walk away. It's not like anyone is going to steal a kid like that, especially if they see its own mother walking away from it. Both of my kids learned young that momma doesn't do drama!
@juliewashere88 Well life's hard so I guess they'd just have to deal with like they have to deal with old people on scooters, mentally challenged people, mosquitoes and everything else that that is sucky in the world. I don't know if you have kids but I know with mine beating their asses would make them scream more. In my experience, walking away teaches them that you're not going to respond to bullshit and stops it faster, especially if they think you're gonna leave their screamin asses.
No, I don't think I should have to deal with the screeching, destructive, free-range brat of some parent who refuses to do their job. Being mentally handicapped, or using a scooter are not disruptive behaviors. Screeching and wrecking a store, however, is. Parents should teach their children how to behave in public, or not take them into public until they do. I'll be damned if my mom ever let me behave like that at any age. What ever happened to discipline?
@juliewashere88 When I worked for a handicapped service we had some who DID act like that in public- in their charts they had the mentality of ages 2-7, these were adults who did not have the capacity to reason, like children. We had a girl who would scream and beat her face until it bled. I guess we should have beat her ass. The word "discipline" comes from the Latin word "disciplinare", which means "to teach". I think walking away teaches them that's not an effective way to get attention.
To quote Grandpa Freeman from "The Boondocks", "Have you tried beating his ass?" It's true there are some children out there with special needs, and help is necessary for them, but most times, a kid needs mom or dad (or both in this case) to find a belt, and show the world that they have their kid under control. When spanking is used to discipline unwanted behavior, then it's used in the right way...if it's used to vent frustrations, that's when it can be carried too far.
I want to point out that in many situations where children act up, they may not be doing so because they are brats or because they have bad parents. Children with disabilities like Autism, have a hard time in stores for numerous reasons...mostly sensory.
Maybe if the father didn't just stand by like an idiot and actually parent his son, he would't have this problem. It isn't the kids, it's the irresponsible parent.
@jmsharpshair Seriously. But we have to be awaret that kids acting out may not be the result of lazy parents or spoiled kids. Children with Autism act out all the time and it's not because they are bad. It could be anything like perhaps the light in a store is too much for them or the crowds. :)
Birth control should be illegal! I say have more children and let them be them selves and he was so cute the way he acted! Does that not want you to want more children?
@patsaxon please tell me your being sarcastic.... i know normally thats a stupid question to ask but you gotta think some people on here are pretty god damn dumb.
Nobody gets this. This is about blocking and destroying the creation of a child. Bad behavior in this child doesn't warrant the advertisement of a condom's use at the point of the young boy's conception - any more than it does when the father was conceived.
Thank you. What part of his brain didn't go you is actin up and you better calm down before I whoop you and give you a reason to scream. That's what my mother did to me.
lool that kid is getting a bitch fit lmaoo

Normally, I'm against using violence against children, even just spanking.
But honestly, I'd probably beat his ass. You want to scream in the store? I'll give you something to scream about.

@avilaloverofGed What you are also failing to get is condoms help with population control. If no one wore them resources would be even more limited.
