Lupang Hinirang is a march to Philippine Independence.. Its our national anthem it should be sing correctly no rendition.. maybe its boring.. not diva or rnb style but this piece is from our roots where we came from.. our pride.. from history and nobody can change history.. respect that

No, they didn't exactly "beat" Lea. Manny himself said that other singers such as Lea and Charice wanted to sing the National Anthem but since he has already chosen La Diva...he can't entertain other singers/groups.

They didn't change the melody. The original melody is intact which the lead girl, Jonalyn Viray is singing. Meron lang nag-second voice. This was a really clever way of side-stepping that stupid law about our National Anthem. La Diva did an awesome job!!
