@Marklmon1 I think it has somthing to do with the fact that Ridley never actually died until Super Metroid and that Samus was aware of his survival after ever defeat prior to the one in Super Metroid, so the way she acted infront of him in Metroid Other M is kind of normal. If Samus was truly a coward she would have screamed like a b@#Rh instead of freezing up and having a flash back of herself as a child encountering RIdley.

Well, if a game comes taking place after Fusion, it won't make sense if Ridley comes back.

You should remember that a X copied Ridley in Fusion (turning into Ridley-X), but Ridley didn't have the same luck as Samus, and died.

From lava it can escape using a metal armor in the burned parts of his body, but how will he escape from a mutant virus?

i considered ridley the hardest boss of the game. if you mess up your timing with the damage while hes on ground, hes gonna be attackable only SPLIT seconds near the end, making a win impossible.

at first hes yellow when hes hit and only when his chest opens you can deal real damage. well if you take him down to 0.01% life the red periodw ill be less then half a second... thats what killed me more then 5 times -.-

a really easy thing to do is use the wavebuster. it will automatically home in on his mouth and then his chest

This only works on the NTSC versions. The PAL version of Ridley has been beefed up. The wavebuster is useless against him.

Basically, the American version versus the European/Australian one. The ground part of the fight was redesigned in the European version - Instead of being stunned for short periods of time, you'd have to do a bunch of damage, which would stun him for about 10 seconds. Then he'd drop back down if you did too much damage in that time - so the Wavebuster was essentially useless. He's got some other changes, including new attacks if i recall.

Hmm this battle is really frustrating me. The first phase is no problem. I can get through that with about 90% of my health intact. The second is pissing me off because all he does is the charge attack(hence I've dubbed it the Spam Charge). It gets very difficult to dodge him after a few minutes because it's murder on my hands and wrists. He very rarely allows me the opportunity to hit him and even when I do the damage is hardly significant.
