It has such basic elements of fear which are the scariest blood gore and killers are not as scary if your not retarded and think that fear is only seen through violence and gore the knife thing shows the fear of a choice

The teddy bear adds fear its a symbols of hope and joy for small children but waking up in nightmare shows the fear can reach even the most joyful of creatures u obviously do not know the concept of fear beyond stupid slash films the not knowing is the scariest part of horror it shows such innocence polluted by a horrific nightmare.

Well, it had the potential for being pretty scary; but the whole part with the teddy bear...doesn't work. A good scary movie has the characters SHOWING that they're scared out of their minds; the teddy bear shows surprise at things, but never resolute fear. If a thousand hands were reaching from the walls, in reality you'd rush to the middle of the room and cower, the teddy bear just looks at them indifferently and goes to grab the knife as if it's not scaring him at all, more just an annoyance.
