  • I visited Vontrump.com and found the products there including their video phone- ojo vision, really impressive. Thanks for the info though.

  • Fing works great on the 3 Network and accepts skype in calls!!!!!!

so a Local call rate for the person calling you!

  • Fring is pretty bad still. I have an iPod Touch 2g and I use fring mostly for IM, I can make calls with it over the WLM network, but if I try a SIP connection it dials, then just dies on me (Using VoIP Stunt SIP Service). Fring have also made Skype compatible with their software, but your Skype-in number doesnt work with Fring

  • omfg no way i didnt care

  • fring works great..use skype thru wifi or 3g and its amazing as long as your speeds are adequate

  • It has improved a lot since this video, and is also on iPhone now.

  • Please man you really should go home and rest because Tec doesnt work with You probably you are the only person that cant write with the Kbords or use fring becuase it always work for me but well probalby you are and image in your Company and they dont want to fire U wich i hope they do soon because you SUCK

  • Tiffany is gorgeous, you can fring me anytime. :)

  • I had this idea 2 years ago ;)

  • silecoscaru i guess you didn't get passed the dragon's den then ;)

  • lol

  • The video didn't say if the Fring contact was via the mobile network (data) or via wifi. I suspect it was the former. SIP is usually very good. Comparing it with toytown Skype isn't a proper comparison since,AFAIK,the Skype on 'Three' isn't really Skype to Skype it is a callback system,i.e. once the call is initiated there is a call made back to the calling mobile to complete the connection. Further, the data usage for a real Skype to Skype call is much greater than for SIP.

  • its made out to be good untill 1.43

  • "WHAT AN EVENT!!!"

  • So it still costs!

  • Hopefully this guy will never reproduce

  • lmao

  • lol.

he has a 12 yr old

  • omg i wanna know wot network hes on. 4p a minutes well cheap

  • blender - Have you tried the networks which might reveal this factoid?

  • or maybe a contract

  • Well, I get 300 mins and 300 texts for £10/month on Virgin - you have to be a VirginMedia customer however. So 1000p/300mins = 3.33'p/min

The data is dead expensive though...whereas 'Three' charge about £5/GB, Virgin charge the equivalent of 2 THOUSAND pounds a GB!!

  • i was going to get that contact but i am still sticking with orange

  • Fring works alright on iPhone - you can even chat on MSN Messenger or AOL...

  • Naaaa...

He's the older worn-out version lookalike of Dolf LooneyGrum.

Great Bloke. Great communication of the items he's presenting on

  • i still think he is like the english version of the doc out of back to the future :P

  • that guy is on crack.

  • my minutes cost 35p a minute. lol

  • ooo yea i have a N73 nokia lmao

  • Hehe, fring that! LOL

  • well that was pointless

  • on any video jus add &fmt=18 to get high quality

  • Shut the fring up!

  • fring that i'l stick 2 skypee. u can use skypee on mobile, phones, pc and the psp slim.

  • i love the way he speaks....lolllzzz..

  • On the show last night, when he said "OOOO Bedroom TV whats that?" I nearly died laughing!

  • I wonder if he's aware of the technology, which the Aliens call 3G?

  • As the Gadget Show is a partner of YouTube, it is allowed to encode it's videos in higher quality so there is an option at the bottom of the video "Watch in High Quality". But these videos are just no better than normal videos in image quality! :-)

  • Terrible Fring and Yeah, Youtube does HD video quality now, so why doesn't the Gadget Show Web TV take advantage of it?

  • I think I'd have Skypee over Fring but unless less you have a Wi-fi phone and are in a Wi-fi hot spot there just another way to run your mobile bill up.

  • I've had Fring on my Pocket PC before.

  • Can't wait till 8.00 on Five - my Sky+ hard drive is in for a treat! :-)

  • my one will be to yey

  • Gadget Show videos on YouTube are always blury; they should encode the video in the right resolution & format (680 x 480) so their videos are much more higher in quality! :-)

  • gadget show just rocks my socks

  • Cant Wait Tnight at 8! on 5

  • OK, first off Fring has been around for over a year, and is a very useful app for those wishing to use the Skype service on a S60 device (as you still can't get Skype for S60) Your test has so many variables that could be the result of the service not working, try it again in an area with HSDPA and you'll get on better. Most operators will not allow you to use VoIP services any way! But one of the best ways to use Fring in over WiFi as a Skype client, which it works perfectly for.

  • @NOBOXMEDIA, why and how does using fring benfit you if you already have skype or gizmo. That is what i'm trying to understand why one would use fring if you already have one of the other two...

  • Whether you use gizmo or Skype is up to you, I have a Skype account, so using Fring means i can use the same account on my mobile, gizmo isn't a Skype client. Other than that the two programs are very similar so it up to you. As far as I know Skype still haven't made a version for S60 devices, so you still have to use a 3rd party app. Fring is now available on the iPhone which is a huge bonus as there are no other VoIP clients for the iPhone as yet!

  • Looking forward to tonights show

  • same here

  • Third!!

  • woohoo second

  • First!
