  • The Xbox 360 port comes out tomorrow, everyone interested get the trial tomorrow (October 12th, 2011)

  • This is one of my favorate games for the Saturn. I bought the system when it first came out on a saturday; and I remember Sega saying "Saturn Day" when it came out. I bought it with Panzer Dragoon, another great title. I'm glad that I bought the system; because when Xmen vs SF, Marvel Super Heroes vz SF came out, I was in heaven. Both games came with a jap 4mb cart, I went out and bought the 4mb action replay and it was awesome!

  • XBLA re-release on the way! It's so on!

  • @wip3outguy7 Wanna play when it comes out? =3

  • @CliffRacer6539 I would, but I don't have a 360. LOL

  • @wip3outguy7 Darn. >.>

I don't have one either, though. I'm getting one just to play Guardian Heroes. It'll be my Guardian Heroes Machine, lol.

  • awesome

  • Your story sounds a lot like my own, it's eerie. I was a store manager for Babbage's at the same time you worked for Software Etc (does your skin crawl when you hear Neostar?) I was the lone champion for the Saturn in my stores. SFA 2 was that game I put up against the PS to show the trouble it had with 2D character animation. The Saturn was born and bred for 2D. Guardian Heroes is a masterpiece. I only have the disc of it as I stupidly never bought it when I had the chance! Great video!

  • @captainmilehigh LOL @ Neostar. Experts in paycheck screw ups and nothing else. And I must admit, I was a complete Playstation whore until SFA2. Glad you enjoyed the video!

  • Nice vid, "cool story bro;" my story is I actually got this from a funco land back in the day. I was originally there to buy some other game, Astal I think(looked cool in a magazine) but it wasn't in stock. So messing around on the 5-8~ demo stations they had, I played through the first level on story mode and said "I gotta have this thing." Lost/sold/idk it a few years later, and bought it again last year: just as awesome as I remember it, no regret. Spread the gospel!

  • Isn't it awesome when you get a really rare game that you really really want to play?

  • @JerryTerrifying It is very sweet, indeed.

  • That was quite interesting, especially the first few minutes talking about Software Etc. and the comparison between SFA2 on the PlayStation and Sega Saturn. I've played Guardian Heroes a little but never owned, so I can't put much nostalgic value on it, but it does demand a pretty hefty price tag these days, so congrats on getting a copy you're happy with. I LOL'ed at the random images too.

  • That is awesome man! Great shape and thanks for referencing my review. I absolutely LOVE this game and am dying to get the US complete.

  • I love beat um ups and I love the saturn sadly I've never played it I think I still have a add from the saturn promo adv sheet I feel like I saw it a millon times in store back then and never picked it up maybe I'll find a good deal some day

  • awesome video man! i never got into sega saturn, actually i prolly never even played one lol

  • holy sh*t that foam insert is awesome LOL!! Seriously though, great video, I must look into this game, I have come across it only when looking on ebay for Guardian Force !!! Looks really cool. I'll have a couple more Saturn shooter reviews up this week, geez I love that system.

  • @futurematt5 *points* don't talk shit about foam inserts! *goes back to cleaning dishes with foam insert*

  • @wip3outguy7 no man, preserve it in a safe like the last guy!!

  • Nice story, really enjoyed it.

    Was the forum RB?

    Keep pumping them out.

  • @TheOldBits Thanks! Actually, it was another forum. But he may post on Racketboy, too. *shrug*

  • Ah, I love Guardian Heroes. I actually sent it off for a friend to borrow, who ended up keeping it for about six years. I was talking to a guy about buying his copy to help fund his move overseas whenever I received my original copy, out of the blue, in my PO box.

The guy included a short note saying that he was sorry and thanking me for loaning it to him. I don't even know how he still had my address.

Now the copy is in my No One Touch drawer, safe and sound.

  • Great great video!!! hey you should make it as a response to mine and robs review.

  • i didnt play guardian heroes until last year i think but what an amazing game.

  • Awesome man! I'm glad you made this, and thanks for sharing some of your gaming history with us.

When I was in 8th grade, everyone had a PlayStation or Nintendo 64. Only one friend had a Saturn, and I'm glad he did! Guardian Heroes was one game he talked about, and every time I visited him, we would play it for hours on end. Needless to say, it is one of the games that made me want to buy a Saturn over anything else at the time, and I ended up receiving the system for my birthday that year.

  • @austinmackert Awesome story. Is that the Saturn you have today?

  • @wip3outguy7 Haha, no.. Nothing I have now is original, except maybe my N-Gage.. My collection had some massive casualties when I went on a massive selling-spree back in 2006.
