This man is a genius , a hero, a role model, an inspiration em, and should be regarded with the highest respect and admiration for his actions. If I knew him, I would shake his hand, help him destroy his house, and buy him several beers.
He is understandable, they do that in the last episode of Our Little House, too, but won't he have more/new debts now (given the fact that it is proven that he was the destructor)?
No. His debts will not increase. Think about it. Let's say he wasn't facing foreclosure, and just decided to destroy his house because he felt like it. So now he would own a house that is destroyed. His debt to the bank remains the same, albeit the value of the house has decreased. Further, it is not illegal to destroy your property. You are free to use, gift, capitalize, and dispose of property any way you see fit.
This man did nothing wrong as he had the title to the house. Yes, the bank had a lien on the house, but a lien does not give you ownership rights, it give you a claim. The property was still legally owned my the man. Even 1 day before the forecloses , the title is STILL in the man's name, not the bank. This act was legal and should be labelled for what it is, a disposal/destruction of property -not vandalism. By definition, you cannot vandalize your own assets.
This man is a genius , a hero, a role model, an inspiration em, and should be regarded with the highest respect and admiration for his actions. If I knew him, I would shake his hand, help him destroy his house, and buy him several beers.
gawd dayum @ these poor neighbors, who."ccant go swimiing because of the fumes".lmmfao.I call bullshit, they were all just wAiting to grab the house up for the cheap.and more than likely that dude was renting, as usual the landlord just stopped paying the morgauge but still collected rents, thats 80% of this deal really, then renters, who have paid faithfully, get eveicted with no place to go, so this dude says F*ck-it, two can play at the ruin yer life game.FTW!
Hey man.. If he's being foreclosed on, it's just his way to say FUCK YOU to the bank as they will probly not be able to sell the property without thousands and thousands of dollars put back into the place. It's actually kind of funny. Either way u look at it though, no one really wins.
I don't side with corruption, especially how our banks handled mortgage funds and where they went down hill bringing the economy down with it. You can being mad all you want about losing your home, trash the place in other ways like break windows and furniture and smash in walls and what not. But taking it as far as spilling toxic stuff like spray paint and things like that? That's not okay. The neighbors have a good reason to be concerned.
Banks are in business to make money. Dont want to save up to buy a house that you can AFFORD? Pay the piper. Do I like the system? No, but thats the way mortgages go and always have. Live within your means. The bank didn't force this douche to take the loan and he is not entitled to live in a house or neighborhood he cannot afford.
@blakbanshee - wow, very insightful. I'm sure he never had a job, probably lived in a storm drain and ate rats. So he walked in to a lender, said he wanted to buy 3 $500,000. dollar homes and they said "Sure, just sign here." Problem is...that is what happened. I'm not condoning buyers irresponsibility, but it pales in comparison to the Banks outright greed.
Don't pretend to disclaim siding with corruption as if you have no choice. You better wake up, they'll be coming for you soon enough!
@pjamesbda I dont side with corruption and I also dont contribute to it. Whats wrong with renting a modest apartment and SAVING enough money so the bank doesnt have you on a leash? Take a look at that thing parked in his driveway. It doesnt look like a sub compact gas sipping hybrid does it? Looks more like a gas guzzling TOY. I have a hard time feeling sorry for someone suffering the consequences for their reckless budgeting of money.
@blakbanshee - side with whoever you wish. It doesn't matter one way or the other. He is going to lose those homes and the point is you can't walk the fence forever. If all we have left are shades of gray, then you need to decide which shade of grey this is compared to the lenders.
I'll be coming down on the side of the borrowers every time. If you can't do that, then you have your head in a dark place, and when you pull it out it may be to find their taking your home.
Ok since Obama took office 5.7 mill hard working Americans have lost there jobs do to the economy not everybody bought more home then they can offord & when U have 300k dollar home at 2350 a month for 6 years that's 169.500 u have given the bank but bc of interest u still owe 290 & it's now worth 185 & the bank won't modify yr loan that's bs even if they resale for 185k plus yr 170 that's still a profit of 55k
What an idiot. He has no one to be mad at but himself. When you enter into a mortgage you sign an agreement to make payments for a specified term. You don't make payments, you lose your home. It's very simple. It's sad but why take it out on the bank?
If I was this guys neighbour I would help him fuck up his house Solidarity you bunch of materialistic douches. What the hell is wrong with these people.Maybe just maybe these people need to loose their home. Wake up people walk a mile in someone else's shoes.
Most of these people still believe that the federal reserve is federal, They're sitting at home waiting for their favorite TV show to come on the idiot box Their heads are so far up their ass.
Ok, so this asshole gets in over his head, barrows money that he can't repay and then makes the neighborhood a MESS, lowering their property values... what an ASS!
Homeowners really need to show up in court and challenge the banks foreclosure. Most banks trade away the mortgage and don't have the paperwork to prove the lien. Judges then not only deny the foreclosure, but the homeowner no longer has to pay anything! (unless a bank can prove it holds the mortgage.)
"boo hoo hoo i cant go swimming cuz ima little crybaby" and its not like the guy was throwng anything out there that stinks! I HATE RICH PPL CUZ THEY ALWAYS COMPLAIN!!!!!!!!!!
I REALLY CANT STAND THAT GUY WHO WANTS TO GO SWIMMING.WHY DON'T HE HELP-HE LOOKS STRONG ENOUGH--OR IS HE A BANKER-INVESTOR ALSO--EITHER WAY------HOMEOWNER KEEP IT UP
ANY BANK THAT WILL NOT HELP EVEN IF IT MEANS A 50% REDUCTION ON THE PAYMENT THEY RECEIVE SHOULD DIE--AND I HOPE ALL HOMEOWNERS WHO COULD MAKE IT IF THE BANKS WOULD HELP AND NOT BE SO GREEDY AS THEY ARE--I HOPE THE NEW TREND IS TO DESTROY YOUR HOME SO THE BANKS LOOSE EVEN MORE MONEY--MAY BE 1 DAY--THE BILLIONEER BANKERS AND INVESTORS WILL SEE THE LIGHT------BUT WE WILL HAVE TO TAKE ACTION LIKE THIS ---
GOOD FOR HIM---BANK COULDN'T HELP HIM OUT WITH ALL THEIR BILLIONS AND BOUNOSES??AND HIS NEIGHBOR-THE ONE WHO WANTS TO GO SWIMMING--SHOULD DROWN---FOR NOT TRYING TO HELP ALSO
@englishbluesman If I lived near this guy I have to be honest that I would be a bit annoyed, but I wouldn't try to stop him. I agree with everything you said.
'ehhh my neibors throwin stuff in his own yard n destorying his own property, ohh woh is me im a stupid fuckin butt pussy...' FUCK OFF N GET A LIFE SUBURB AMERICA N MAKE ROOM FOR THE REAL AMERICA, us anonymous who fill your lives with such services, crafts n goods; us who change your oil, drive your ambulances, teach your brat kids, make your lights come on... whos really the advantageous here, whos really just in the world dont make us mad wer everywher n will b heard
I love how the news is despretly trying to make this look criminal, where was the media during the gulf spill how many neighborhoods where destroyed by BP
Everyone saying it's the people's fault for "buying houses they couldn't afford" has obviously never seen a mortgage contract. You think your favorite piece of software's terms of use are bad? Lenders use the most obscure and obfuscated language because they know the normal people can't understand it. You same people have obviously never heard of an ARM either. Many of these people could afford their loans when they first made them, but the rates have gone up, up, up since then.
So wait, someone bought a house they couldn't afford? So now they're destroying it because they're idiots? How is it the bank's fault he made a bad financial decision?
@Xsighting101 Your the reason people do background checks. Try that once and good luck ever renting a decent place again. If i was the owner and you did that to my house, i would chase you to the ends of the earth and you would buy my house twice over after me and my pitbull attorney got done with you and your bank accounts and cars and everything else .I would own them. If you even have anything. If you dont have anything, you never will because of how you think and live your life...
The banks made subprime loans that went belly up; now it is payback time! This goes to show how the people can be just as ruthless as bankers. However, if my goal was to destroy the home, I would have thought arson on the home or water damage would have been more effective. Last time I checked, there is no law against destroying your own property. Collect on the copper plumbing and wiring while you're at it too.
This is how uncivilized animals behave. These people are the dregs of society. Just as they destroy Penn State because they're animals, they do things like this. They're animals.
Housing bubble was insane IDEA putting people in houses than later kicking them out , IF any other country did this they would already be BANKRUPT or in hyperinflation. USA is lucky they have CHINA Japan behind the DOLLAR.
Of course, the one to blame is relative to the point of view. But if you try to get educated, the financial crisis is not just because of reckless spending of Americans. The financial crisis started when the housing bubble popped. Housing prices plummeted because of sudden increase in the amount of foreclosed houses due to sub-prime mortgages and predatory lending! In the end, economists realized that IT IS the banks' fault. Research about credit default swaps and see how greedy banks can get.
He's not taking it on you lady! He's taking it on the bank. Don't you get it? It's still his house so he can do whatever he wants until the bank kick him out. You will be doing the same to your house next............it's only a matter of times. You think that your job is secure so you don't have to worry about it but think again. You will be the next person destroying your house.
I know a friend that literally drilled all of the support beams and released matting female and males termites, all around the house even the roof just a week after he got a final decision to refuse loan modification with BofA. 3 months latter the city red tagged the place looks like the support beams gave and the back upper floor gave in to the lower floor it was actually interesting how fast termites will eat untreated wood.
It looks like he was just tossing his shit out of the house. I must have missed the part where he destroyed the home. If he did destroy it, it's an example of extreme faggotry. Getting into large debt is a risk. If you decide to float that kind of risk, don't act like a little bitch when you lose.
Everyone should do this. You know when you get a "loan" the bank creates worthless paper out of nothing so you may purchase something that actually has real value, they then proceed to charge interest on this fake money (which never existed, and never will exist) Our monetary system is nothing more than a fraud.
Beer and Canadian Bacon, damn case of beer is 30 bucks now, Bacon is way up and gas $1.29 a liter for my skidoo , you banker bastards. Get O B O M B M A's impeachment papers together, put some kind of legal papers in order to END the FED or just march down and take it over burn it down. Eat some bacon and drinks some beer. One more thing Bush and Cheney do the right thing just turn yourself in for War crimes and have them throw away the key for you.
Are you current or in foreclosure ? Would you like to know how you can get your mortgage down 20%-60%, and possibly even receive fine money for fraud perpetrated upon you and your family by the U.S. banks ?

He signed the mortgage with out a gun to his head. I was responsible and bought a house I knew I could afford not what the back told me I could afford you make a deal with the Devil you get you shit straight. America, we let the banks to this to us. Our fault. Those unblinded by material gratification saw this disaster coming years ahead of time.
This is so stupid. The Difference is what that house will sell for on the open market compared to what he OWES.....So, the lesss it sells for DUE TO THE DAMAGES the MORE MONEY HE WILL STILL OWE THE LENDERS>>>>DUMB BELL.....Or, what IF he got more money offered for the home than was owed on it??? He gets the extra after the lender has been paid totally OFF
He's an ass hole. the bank didn't fuck him he fucked himself by taking out a loan he new he couldn't aford to pay if he lost his job no matter the bank said. Greed on his part just to show everyone he's doing well and he must drive a BMW just to show off. I have friends like that also, lost everything, but they didn't use their fucken brains. SO LETS BLAME THE GOVERMENT BECAUSE I CAN'T ADD 2+2
@crusher1944 fuck you asshole...who the fuck taught us math...and everything else we know...the dept. of education...you know , the gov't agency that takes your children away if you dont subject them to the indoctrination platform. Weve all been conditioned to do what the media says we should...this is done for profit by profiteers! The banksters are responsible...along with complacent idiots like you!!!
@crusher1944 The fact is most people are not accountants. Most people don't know what they can or cannot afford when it comes to mortgages. So why shouldn't they listen to a financial analyst who's JOB IT IS TO TELL THEM IF THEY CAN AFFORD IT. The homeowners were convinced by these banking execs that they could in fact afford a loan. That a subprime mortgage was the way to go, not telling them that the interest rates on those mortgages skyrocket after the initial lull.
@crusher1944 You HAVE to be a kid. If a person can afford a house payment AFTER losing their job....they don't need a home loan in the first place. Does this video show a BMW anywhere? I don't see one.
@crusher1944 hey, maybe this guy was pretty well off and had a seure job for years and could afford the payments....i would call him stupid if he recently purchased the home knowing how insecure jobs are, actually my neighbor's frined is being foreclosed, he was cut from his 15 year old job as an acountent, he made good money so he wanted to enjoy his money, it isnt greed...im helping him clear out his home. lol he did let the water run for 2 days on the second floor.
im a 26 year old and have my own small concrete business. i have a crew of only 6 guys. im making good money and i work hard for my money and pay my men very good to keep them by my side. i actually have a bmw, an M3, dont tell me it is me being greedy for the things i have, if you look at my rough construction man hands you would see my hardwork. i have a home, my brother lives with me and my wife and he helps out. you dont get it. corperations are getting involved in government.
@crusher1944 It is the bank's false. You just don't get it. The bank came up with all kinds of shits to make money so they destroy the economy and the housing market went bust sending housing value into the ground. When your house has little to no value and the bank refused to make any concession then the only thing to do is destroy it. Tell that to the people who loose all their life saving to greedy banks who fucked up the housing values all over America.
hey idiot that thinks the banks are losing out in this bad economy ...EVER HEAR OF T.A.R.P. YOU THINK THE BANKS ARE PICKING UP THE DIFFERENCE. THE GOVERNMENT PAYS THEM THE DIFFERENCE WITH TAX PAYERS MONEY SO THEY WILL GET, AND HAVE BEEN PAID. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE THE FURTHER DOWN I READ THE MORE YOU DONT KNOW SHIT...SHEEP
hey idiot that thinks the banks are losing out in this bad economy ...EVER HEAR OF T.A.R.P. YOU THINK THE BANKS ARE PICKING UP THE DIFFERENCE. THE GOVERNMENT PAYS THEM THE DIFFERENCE WITH TAX PAYERS MONEY SO THEY WILL GET, AND HAVE BEEN PAID
The banks expect to just take all the homeowners equity, because of the crisis they created? Remodeling the home to unsalable condition sends a clear message to them. Once I foreclosed on a property in Arizona a nonrecoarse state, jugde told me it was their house to do with as they please. There is nothing the bank can sue for except interest due and back taxes, nothing on the value or loss on the home. One could destroy the home never miss a payment then play jingle mail! Banks loose!
People commenting in this video... seriously. That's NOT his house.
This man will still have a house after this is all over. The real victims in this story are the people who rented from him.
It's like renting out SUVs to people. Gas prices get jacked up, people want econo-cars, and you're shit out of luck. Too bad, plan for the future next time.
And yeah, a lot of people getting foreclosed on had better, more expensive houses than I do. I don't feel sorry for them because they took a risk.
@thescarybox Another reason not to feel sorry for them is that owning a house is a want, not a need. You need a house as much as you need a big-screen TV. There's nothing at all wrong with renting. I feel no pity for people who are foreclosed on because they got themselves in over their heads. Why do they think they deserve a free house? And why should taxpayers like me, who made the smart decision to rent, be forced to pay for their crap? The whole thing pisses me off.
@hamsterama You are an idiot. More than likely you could not qualify for buying a house so this post of being rejected from the begining is your justification. Many people, including yourself, do not have a crystal ball letting them know how national or personal economics would go with job losses so get over yourself and live the entitlement life you obviously expect. I hear crap like this all the time from those that are not on the receiving end of losing their lifes investments...get a life.
@Hardwoods91 You're the idiot, pal. I have more than enough money to buy a house outright, in a nice area, too. Who cares if I qualify, because I don't need a mortgage. I rent because I don't want to deal with maintanance issues, don't want to waste my weekends mowing a lawn, plus my job requires travel. Again, I don't need a house. Nobody does, you can always rent. Entitlement life, WTF are you talking about? I have a good job, and I have no trouble paying my bills.

After the sudden death of her brother and cut banck at work Rose fell just 2 weeks behind on her mortgage payment. She was then put on a loan modification roller coaster. IndyMac, now One West Bank, put her home through foreclosure. The family is now awaiting eviction.
Rose and her family have decided to stay in their home - no matter what.
IM FROM VEGAS AND THIS IS ALL TO REAL ITS HAPPENING EVERY DAY IN EVERY NEIGHBORHOOD SOMETIMES HALF THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS EMPTY HOUSES.. WHEN YOU LIVE IN AN ECONOMY THAT IS RUN ON TOURISM AND CONTRSUCTION IT ALL CRUMBLES WHEN IT GOES AWAY THANK THE REPUBLICANS
Credit default swaps , derivatives , banking terms you should learn. The Bankers have destroyed America and they are not through. This guy could have been a mortgage broker a lot of them eating their peas
Why destroy it, banks destroyed this housing industry giving loans to people who could never pay . Collapsing the housing market in the process. as a investor in these mortgage company I lost thousands, people in the stock market lost entire retirements. Why let a bank make anything off of a foreclosure, Destroy them before you leave. Don't let the thieves make a dime!
@troybrownrigg Not necessarily completely true. Plenty of people COULD pay and then had a hardship after (medical bills or loss of job). Then they never wanted to cut corners and got behind on their mortgage by 20 months or something. Can't blame the banks for other peoples stupidity/unwillingness to cut out unnecessary items.
Also, banks don't make a dime off of foreclosure, they often have a depreciated house that no one wants to buy because the value is in the shitter.
@ShockaSlim Once the banks engage in the practice of destroying the housing market totally, It becomes impossible to sell a home! I've got no revolving credit history at all, not even a car payment. 15k in checking, nevr missed a house payment in 7 years, 4 years on the second. went to refinance the two together and was rejected due to no revoling credit. The property is worth at least 300k I owe 230k and could have applied another 10k towards. Banks will not make loans now. CONTINUED
@troybrownrigg Acutally, the banks hands were tied in the lending process. Obama sued 17 banks including Citibank for not giving loans out to risky borrowers and said they were racially discriminating, looking past the fact that the borrowers had no credit...
@troybrownrigg Acutally, the banks hands were tied in the lending process. Obama sued 17 banks including Citibank for not giving loans out to risky borrowers and said they were racially discriminating, looking past the fact that the borrowers had no credit...
@troybrownrigg So you bought a house that was overpriced, that you really couldnt properly afford and had no back up plan or emergency fund if things didnt work out, you signed the papers and agreed to do it and somehow thats the banks fault and you now have a right to destroy the house you dont own and didnt pay for? Sorry but thats the stupest logic ive heard in a long time. I hope they sue the crap out of you for destroying there house ....
@calmichael30 I've seen banks destroy housing units just to inflate prices to other people, I've seen 400 home built across the street from me while I went three years trying to sell my home. that , I've seen this happen in California before. I've foreclosed on people and had a judge tell me I couldn't collect a dime for damages, because it was theirs to do with it as they please. If more of these people Totally destroy these homes the banks will require a 20% down before making a loan.
@troybrownrigg lol you blame the banks for your financial failures? Who sought after the loans? Who accepted and signed for them? Did little children sign after being manipulated by those evil banks? Or did adults capable of making informed and intelligent decisions sign? You have no one to blame but yourself.
@xForTheRepublic I blame the banks 100%, millions will line up to borrow money! Banks shouldn't have made loans to people without 20% down, without jobs, without verifing work or credit history! All this fantisy finanacing games. 125% financing. They created the housing bubble, flip this house programs. Mr tan Man we'll never loose money on a house as they always go up! If we foreclose on them we just resell it at a profit. Well the Americans have come up with the answer too that!
@troybrownrigg You kids don't get it - NO ONE is telling you to go get a loan. Why are you borrowing money you know you cannot afford? Are you just that inept to figure out that it's beyond your means? You didn't find a solution, you just found a way to throw a tantrum. I swear, you all act like children. You all need to go back to your mothers tits and resume suckling on them....big kid world is too much for you.
@xForTheRepublic You don't get it! Homeless bumbs lined up for loans and the banks gave them loans! These house flipping want a be Donald trumps were just trying to flip a home. Using someone else's money they did not even need money down, a job, or credit history to do so! This happened How? Banks did not care to whom they loaned to! They took share holder money and wasted it! CEO's made millions share holders lost it all! American's have the correct answer destroy a home program!!
@troybrownrigg If you want to blame someone blame wall street lobbyists and Bill Clinton who repealed the Glass-Steagall act. That resulted in a pipeline of risky mortgages being packaged into unregulated securities instruments which the investment banks sold while massively leveraging themselves. That type of deregulation is insane and it still exists thanks to republicans in congress. The next bubble may not be mortgages but it will be something else if the rules don't change.
@smokingfast I do blame wall street, who bundled all the loans into Mortgage backed securities and moody's who rated them AAA and sold them as fast as they could to other countries or investment firms. I blame the Bush administrartion too for pumping up the market. I still hold those that lent out the money the most! They had the responciblity of credit and job checks, making sure a down payment was there! They were the front line and they failed big time creating all types of loans
This is just what these white trash tea baggers do:
1. Buy a home they can't afford.
2. Get foreclosed on.
3. Cry like a baby that it's not their fault.
These fucking white trash tea baggers should stay in the neighborhoods they can afford: trailer parks. This piece of white trash could have NEVER afforded that nice house. Fucking moron. Get out.
@gretschjazzer You're a racist pig who thinks the politicians will protect you. Read real history. The majority of foreclosures occur with Democrat voters. Average Tea Partiers and Republicans usually pay their bills. None of the three parties are for us, not at the end of the day. The banks and large corporations own us. I don;'t know what this guy was thinking when he tore up his house, maybe the bank promised him a modification and lied to him like thousands of others.
....technically before Bush people COULDN'T buy homes that they couldn't afford. Then the banks started lending to people who they RELIED to loose their homes so they could foreclose them, get their money back, and then go back and resell those homes for more.
Oh and on a side note. For all the foreclosed homes that are being bought by banks that can't be sold...they're being demolished, then the land donated to "charities" for tax breaks...
Your comment reeks of ignorance. Please go educate yourself, else you'll be in the same position as the people you call "white trash".
@gretschjazzer Wow, very impressed with your knowledge and politics, please define white trash if you could, also please describe if you could trash of any color so that I can tell the difference.
banks are publicly traded companies so you might think you are just fucking over the bank but in reality you are fucking over everyone who has invested money into that bank.
I love how people speak so calm and ask themselves why destroy it. I bet if they were loosing the house they worked for, for any reason they would rage and destroy the house too.
FUCK all you all who think it's mainly regular peoples fault for the mortgage mess. It's the banks that are fucking this country up. And you might be pointing fingers at others, but theyre fucking YOU too!!
"ya but theres a lot of people losing their houses but....why destroy it"
Fucking prick. You know and he knows why the fuck he's doing it, don't make yourself out to be a good guy on TV when you know damn well why he's putting a middle finger to the bank after they fucked everyone on refinancing. Go back to sipping your twelve year old scotch and listen to some more of your Sting albums and beat off as usual.
@fognog3 --- Could you borrow 500.000 dollars for house in 1990 if you were making 20.000 $ per year.
SO it is people's fault they borrowed more than they can afford to repay. HOW was it possible for banks to loan money without checking if people can afford to repay it, LANDING STANDARDS. Adjustable rate mortgages you do not have to be GENIUS or have degree in Economics to understand that those mortgages will never be re payed. -- CENTRAL BANK or Federal Reserve of USA --
@aviomaster yes it is there fault. They knew they couldnt afford the shit when they signed it. The terms of the mortgage is in the contract. If you are stupid enough to take out an adjustable rate mortgage I have no sympathy for you.
@aviomaster these people shouldnt have been buying 500,000 dollar houses in the first place. Everyone wants to get a big fancy house they cant afford so they can impress people and make them think they are well off. Of course the banks shouldnt have given them the loan in the first place but if you dont pay you get foreclosed on everyone knows that.
Same fucking thing happened to us! the loan for the house was 540,000$ & it's only worth now 120,000$ we told the bank we'll buy it for 200,000$ they refused and fucked over my dad's credit because of it, So we moved and payed 180,000$ CASH for a different house, Sucks though cause we loved our old house.
IT IS NOT BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT AFFORD THE LOAN, IT IS BECAUSE NOW THAT THE ECONOMY IS DOWN THE HOUSE IS NOW WORTH LESS THAT THE LOAN IS FOR ! SO THE HOUSE IS WORTH $90,000 BUT THE LOAN IS FOR $230,000 THAT IS WHY IT IS HAPPENING TO LOTS IF GOOD PEOPLE! A BANK WONT GIVE YOU A LOAN IF THEY KNOW YOU CANT AFFORD IT ! BUT THINGS CHANGED SO QUICKLY OVER 1 YEAR ! ITS A SHAME PEOPLE ARE HOMELESS DUE TO THIS BANK AND HOME LOAN SITUATION !!!
@lexusfann "A BANK WONT GIVE YOU A LOAN IF THEY KNOW YOU CANT AFFORD IT ! "
That was until Jimmy Carter came along with his "affordable housing" plan. It may have sounded good, but was a bad thing for us all. Go research "Subprime Derivatives" for the reason it came back to bite us all.
The banks knew this and because the FED required them to take the toxic loans, they started grabbing all they could get, just like the Obama supporters who thought they would get a piece of his theft of America.
@lexusfann Its still your fault if you have a low income and buy a decently pricy house. even if you can make the payments (but barely with your budget) and the market changes a little against your favor, all of a sudden you can't make your payments. That's not anyone's fault but the home buyer for poor financial preparation.
@Finnrocketman i dont know where you live but in the USA the market did not change a little it doubeled overnight ! houses that were worth 300,000 are now worth only 100,000 and the banks went from 4. intrest to over 18 % you mine as well use a credit card to buy a home!
@fognog3 quit being a trolling dickhead. are you saying that someone who has a mortgage cannot remodel any of their house because the bank technically owns it? and they wouldnt have permission. ask anyone holding a mortgage if they, or the bank, owns their house. try that a hundred times and see who owns the house in the eyes of the homeowner. bottom line fuck head.

He is understandable, they do that in the last episode of Our Little House, too, but won't he have more/new debts now (given the fact that it is proven that he was the destructor)?
mysteryboy162 1 week ago
@mysteryboy162

@mysteryboy162

The bank didn't force this douche to take the loan and he is not entitled to live in a house or neighborhood he cannot afford.
blakbanshee 3 weeks ago
@blakbanshee - wow, very insightful. I'm sure he never had a job, probably lived in a storm drain and ate rats. So he walked in to a lender, said he wanted to buy 3 $500,000. dollar homes and they said "Sure, just sign here." Problem is...that is what happened. I'm not condoning buyers irresponsibility, but it pales in comparison to the Banks outright greed.
Don't pretend to disclaim siding with corruption as if you have no choice. You better wake up, they'll be coming for you soon enough!
pjamesbda 3 weeks ago
@pjamesbda I dont side with corruption and I also dont contribute to it. Whats wrong with renting a modest apartment and SAVING enough money so the bank doesnt have you on a leash? Take a look at that thing parked in his driveway. It doesnt look like a sub compact gas sipping hybrid does it? Looks more like a gas guzzling TOY. I have a hard time feeling sorry for someone suffering the consequences for their reckless budgeting of money.
blakbanshee 3 weeks ago
@blakbanshee - side with whoever you wish. It doesn't matter one way or the other. He is going to lose those homes and the point is you can't walk the fence forever. If all we have left are shades of gray, then you need to decide which shade of grey this is compared to the lenders.
I'll be coming down on the side of the borrowers every time. If you can't do that, then you have your head in a dark place, and when you pull it out it may be to find their taking your home.

The banks made subprime loans that went belly up; now it is payback time! This goes to show how the people can be just as ruthless as bankers. However, if my goal was to destroy the home, I would have thought arson on the home or water damage would have been more effective. Last time I checked, there is no law against destroying your own property. Collect on the copper plumbing and wiring while you're at it too.

aviomaster 2 months ago
Of course, the one to blame is relative to the point of view. But if you try to get educated, the financial crisis is not just because of reckless spending of Americans. The financial crisis started when the housing bubble popped. Housing prices plummeted because of sudden increase in the amount of foreclosed houses due to sub-prime mortgages and predatory lending! In the end, economists realized that IT IS the banks' fault. Research about credit default swaps and see how greedy banks can get.

I don't feel sorry for them because they took a risk.
thescarybox 4 months ago
@thescarybox Another reason not to feel sorry for them is that owning a house is a want, not a need. You need a house as much as you need a big-screen TV. There's nothing at all wrong with renting. I feel no pity for people who are foreclosed on because they got themselves in over their heads. Why do they think they deserve a free house? And why should taxpayers like me, who made the smart decision to rent, be forced to pay for their crap? The whole thing pisses me off.
hamsterama 4 months ago
@hamsterama You are an idiot. More than likely you could not qualify for buying a house so this post of being rejected from the begining is your justification. @Hardwoods91 You're the idiot, pal. I have more than enough money to buy a house outright, in a nice area, too. Who cares if I qualify, because I don't need a mortgage. Why let a bank make anything off of a foreclosure, Destroy them before you leave. Don't let the thieves make a dime!
troybrownrigg 4 months ago 22
@troybrownrigg Not necessarily completely true. Plenty of people COULD pay and then had a hardship after (medical bills or loss of job). Then they never wanted to cut corners and got behind on their mortgage by 20 months or something. Can't blame the banks for other peoples stupidity/unwillingness to cut out unnecessary items.
Also, banks don't make a dime off of foreclosure, they often have a depreciated house that no one wants to buy because the value is in the shitter.
ShockaSlim 4 months ago
@ShockaSlim Once the banks engage in the practice of destroying the housing market totally, It becomes impossible to sell a home! They took share holder money and wasted it! CEO's made millions share holders lost it all! American's have the correct answer destroy a home program!!
troybrownrigg 2 months ago
@troybrownrigg If you want to blame someone blame wall street lobbyists and Bill Clinton who repealed the Glass-Steagall act. That resulted in a pipeline of risky mortgages being packaged into unregulated securities instruments which the investment banks sold while massively leveraging themselves. That type of deregulation is insane and it still exists thanks to republicans in congress. The next bubble may not be mortgages but it will be something else if the rules don't change.
smokingfast 2 months ago

Get out.
gretschjazzer 4 months ago
@gretschjazzer You're a racist pig who thinks the politicians will protect you. Read real history. The majority of foreclosures occur with Democrat voters. Average Tea Partiers and Republicans usually pay their bills. None of the three parties are for us, not at the end of the day. The banks and large corporations own us. I don;'t know what this guy was thinking when he tore up his house, maybe the bank promised him a modification and lied to him like thousands of others.
MadeByEduNotLaziness 4 months ago
@gretschjazzer
....technically before Bush people COULDN'T buy homes that they couldn't afford. Then the banks started lending to people who they RELIED to loose their homes so they could foreclose them, get their money back, and then go back and resell those homes for more.
midnull 4 months ago
Oh and on a side note. For all the foreclosed homes that are being bought by banks that can't be sold...they're being demolished, then the land donated to "charities" for tax breaks...
Your comment reeks of ignorance. Please go educate yourself, else you'll be in the same position as the people you call "white trash".
midnull 4 months ago
@gretschjazzer Wow, very impressed with your knowledge and politics, please define white trash if you could, also please describe if you could trash of any color so that I can tell the difference.
Hardwoods91 3 months ago
banks are publicly traded companies so you might think you are just fucking over the bank but in reality you are fucking over everyone who has invested money into that bank.
fognog3 4 months ago
Why destroy it? Because the bank will have to pay for have it fixed. hahaha!
MrMaryJanes 4 months ago
I love how people speak so calm and ask themselves why destroy it. I bet if they were loosing the house they worked for, for any reason they would rage and destroy the house too.

They should distroy the homes, so they are worthless
to the banks, that is the whole point.
The391956 5 months ago
These tax money grabbing banks should work with the people instead of just foreclosing on everyone.

If the banks wouldn't have given insane loans to young couples they wouldn't be hurting so much.

FUCK all you all who think it's mainly regular peoples fault for the mortgage mess. It's the banks that are fucking this country up. And you might be pointing fingers at others, but theyre fucking YOU too!!

Fuck You, bitch, that's why Extreme House Makeovers exist. Get them over there. Also fuck your emphasis.

-- CENTRAL BANK or Federal Reserve of USA --
aviomaster 5 months ago
@aviomaster yes it is there fault. They knew they couldnt afford the shit when they signed it. The terms of the mortgage is in the contract. If you are stupid enough to take out an adjustable rate mortgage I have no sympathy for you.
fognog3 5 months ago
@aviomaster these people shouldnt have been buying 500,000 dollar houses in the first place. Everyone wants to get a big fancy house they cant afford so they can impress people and make them think they are well off. Of course the banks shouldnt have given them the loan in the first place but if you dont pay you get foreclosed on everyone knows that.
fognog3 4 months ago
@aviomaster Because our Government said; "Don't worry Freddy and Fannie will take care of it". Thank the Democrats for that one.

Same fucking thing happened to us! the loan for the house was 540,000$ & it's only worth now 120,000$ we told the bank we'll buy it for 200,000$ they refused and fucked over my dad's credit because of it, So we moved and payed 180,000$ CASH for a different house, Sucks though cause we loved our old house.
djcise 5 months ago
ITS A SHAME PEOPLE ARE HOMELESS DUE TO THIS BANK AND HOME LOAN SITUATION !!!
lexusfann 5 months ago
@lexusfann "A BANK WONT GIVE YOU A LOAN IF THEY KNOW YOU CANT AFFORD IT ! "
That was until Jimmy Carter came along with his "affordable housing" plan. It may have sounded good, but was a bad thing for us all. Go research "Subprime Derivatives" for the reason it came back to bite us all.
The banks knew this and because the FED required them to take the toxic loans, they started grabbing all they could get, just like the Obama supporters who thought they would get a piece of his theft of America.
JRBeaman 5 months ago
@lexusfann Its still your fault if you have a low income and buy a decently pricy house. even if you can make the payments (but barely with your budget) and the market changes a little against your favor, all of a sudden you can't make your payments. That's not anyone's fault but the home buyer for poor financial preparation.
Finnrocketman 5 months ago
@Finnrocketman i dont know where you live but in the USA the market did not change a little it doubeled overnight ! houses that were worth 300,000 are now worth only 100,000 and the banks went from 4. intrest to over 18 % you mine as well use a credit card to buy a home!
lexusfann 5 months ago
Oh no! Someone is destroying their own property!
mariofreak91 5 months ago
fortunatly its a free country and he can wreck his own property if he likes. not saying i agree, but it is what it is.
jared8455 5 months ago
@jared8455 its not his property it is the banks property
fognog3 5 months ago
@fognog3 i disagree. and apparently the cops do too if they had no right to stop him.
eventually the bank would own the property, but until they take it over and kick him out
he can do whatever the hell he wants.
jared8455 5 months ago
@jared8455 until the house is payed off the house does not belong to you bottom line
fognog3 4 months ago
@fognog3 quit being a trolling dickhead. are you saying that someone who has a mortgage cannot remodel any of their house because the bank technically owns it? and they wouldnt have permission. ask anyone holding a mortgage if they, or the bank, owns their house. try that a hundred times and see who owns the house in the eyes of the homeowner. bottom line fuck head.
