the first time I listened to this song I almost cried... this is not just music, this is poetry, this is art... this is something you never heard before...
@blueridger28 I'm in the exact same boat as you. I've been listening to them, courtesy of my late father, since I was 3 years old. Now, almost 17 years later, I own all of their albums, several Townshend and Entwistle solo records, and have them them live (and am going to see Daltrey's solo act this year.) They're the greatest rock band in history.
@Samalamalamdam get her told man that this band is the best ever and beiber dosnt even have a tiny bit of talent on pete, rog, keith and john <3 love them all
the best thing about the who is you can't even tell the difference between studio and live performances that much at all, cuz the who were great on and off stage
This was on Who Came First...solo album by Pete. It was not on Who's Next. Check out the Pete version! Some of the best lyrics of the band. "We all know success, when we all find our own dreams..etc." Great tune!
@lefrauens I have a special edition of Who's Next that has some stuff that was recorded for Who's Next but wasn't released on it. This is one of those songs.
@firesoforion I can barely stand to listen to Daltrey's old pipes anymore, they're shot. But lordy, his singing on these early 70s cuts are just glorious.
every song was great but this is my favorite

The only thing i regret about this band, is that Tonwshend wrote 99% of their songs, which is a shame.

Amazing song. The harmony and interplay between Towshend's and Daltrey's voice is excellent.

You know, not many singers could have brought Pete Townshend's lyrics to life like Roger Daltrey does ...

@firesoforion none with his power and other things. "a strong man singing a weak man's message" as Daltrey once said.
