Beautiful playing, but a question for you: if the music of Stravinsky or Brahms or Beethoven was played on a harpsichord, people would complain about the sound, the composers "intent", inappropriateness, etc. Why then is it "ok" to play Bach on a piano? Wouldn't the same concerns apply? Don't get me wrong - I'd enjoy Bach on an ocarina! :)
@lichtbroeder - I might be wrong, but I think it's because Bach's pieces reflect technical virtuosity, something which the piano excels in demonstrating. Other composer's pieces rely mainly on the "beautiful" expressiveness of the sound, something which the harpsichord can't really do, since the sound of the strings are too "metallic and sharp", too soft for a concert hall and the resonance cannot sustain for as long. It's all about what sound suits the song with respect to certain elements.
Thank you for watching it and your comment. I could not keep tempo at that time. so it's not confotable to listen I think. I also love this piece. I love Bach's composition.
it's a beautiful one, I find the prelude particularly breathtaking. On your interpretation, I think the prelude warrants a slower execution, to fully appreciate the dramatic chords...Thank you all the same!
I liked how you played it, it think you could use a little better independence between parts especially in the fugue. The chord with the fermata should be slightly broken (rolled.) Also, you should think about less pedal, it does sound nice how you did it, but that is not quite the right style. But I guess thats my own opinion, open for interpretation. Well, very well done.
Lovely. Thank you for sharing.

i wish the filter on your mic were better. the sound production sucks. there's a high pitched fan going or something.

Polyphony is of the utmost importance in Bach. You are spot on! You played the notes very clearly in this Prelude/Fugue.

I might comment you did a supurb job and you have a natural ability to make Bach's music sing.

Thank you for your comment all the times. I understand my weak point now. My fingers move faster when I play the 16th notes. So the tempo is changed.

Very well done! You give this music a sense of lyricism.

Thank you for watching & your comment. I am not sure I have a sense of lyricism or not, but I am so happy when I play Bach pieces.
