Second, at the time of this song (1968) Diamond started a program called PAD (performers against drugs). The testimonies of the recovering drug addicts in this recording were to bring to the public forefront the daily struggles these individuals go through. You should stop getting your erroneous info from comic books and read some real Neil Diamond biographies.
