You have one of my favorite people on here Danny Bean... he is the nicest and funniest people I have ever meet. I know a lot of his family and they are just as funny.
@greenman692003 Take advantage? The people are always glad to sell, they are mostly old people who have a lot of stuff that their kids don't want to be bothered with and would sell at a yard sale for nothing or load it up and haul it to the landfill. These guys are buying to sell, they have to make a profit and if you had a clue about business you would realise the tremendous overhead anyone in this business has. People like you don't know crap but your always ready to shoot off your mouth.
@WZH1953 There is nothing wrong with buying and selling for a profit... or no profit. It has been going on the world for thousands of years and is what makes the economy. The people that sell the stuff don't mind or they would say "Get off my land!"

Anyone have a video of one of those old pumps actually working? Does the gas simply travel through the glass area, or does it sit there like a reservoir?
it travels through it so you can see the gas back then there were alot of problems with bad and dirty gas this way people would know it was nice and clean
they make hardly any money off those old antiques other than some rare motorcycle finds. Without the history channel or video production they wouldn't last in that type of business. History channel keeps the gas tank full or they'd be at a loss. Interesting show but half made up like all the shows today. It's all show.. If you notice most of the positive dollar signs say VALUED AT not SOLD ! The old motorctlcle antiques and visible gas pumps are the only items that pay the tank of gas!
Their middle men, they buy and turn over for profit. These things would have ended up on the trash heap.

I just saw a segment where they purchased the saddle from the old guy and discovered it could sell for $4000.
.
THESE GUYS ARE CRIMINALS.
.
How sad to take advantage of someone like this. They are even proud of themselves when they learn about their 'scores' (a successful robbery).
.
THESE A-HOLES DO NOT HAVE SOULS.
