sorry if this sounds stupid or if this question has been asked already but does the multi cart work on an aes system or do you have to have some sort of mvs cabinet? Im actually planing on buying an aes but like you said, some of the games are way too damned expensive.

Have you tried to use the UNIBIOS chip during you are playing the games is it usable?

also what happen if you keep C, A, B buttons pushed while booting again.. ?

@trimer34 With Unibios it is fine, my MVS 1 does anyway.. A,B,C resets to the option menu as per usual (dipswitches also work - settings are saved as long as your batteries are ok I suppose!)..

The cart is really good - it can have some minor problems on some titles but Japanese setting usually cure these. There may be better compilations out now..

Its really shady to use the cart, but im not sure snk is selling carts anymore, so i guess its ok now. But you hold in your hand the thing that killed snk.

yeah, not so much, they failed because there home stuff was waaaayyy to expensive, and it was only arcade games, you only have short bursts of fun from arcade games, u cant rly beat them, also they stopped making games in 2004, so yeah.

You know, it's really unfair when you say things like your last sentence, because bootlegs did not single-handedly kill SNK. I've seen so many Neo Geo purists say that, and they're all fucking wrong. In addition to piracy (which was NOT the only, or even the biggest factor in SNK's fall), they also had many controversial ads, which didn't give a good message to parents who were thinking about buying the system for kids, the home systems were the most expensive thing on the market,

Not to mention the games also costed at times 200% more than any other game on the market, and a game was about the same price as any of the other CONSOLES on the market in those times. Are you using Internet Explorer or Google? I found that some sites are slow/unmanageable with Internet Explorer but when I went on using Google Chrome its smooth-sailing.I just ordered the multi-cart from welink with no problems.

Where did you buy your 100 in 1 cart? I've seen a couple on Ebay for sale but supposedly have serious glitches/sound problems.You said your cart plays without any problems.

@megacide84 Its the same one - there are SOME glitches but its pretty much fine.. Some poor pirate games on there but mostly very cool.. Good if you just want to play the games on the hardware.. I got mine from ebay - have a look out for different compilations that may be available by now.

First off i am a super Noob. with that said i am about to pick up a single slot Neo-Geo MVS arcade cabinet. but would the Multicart 100 in 1 be able to play on a full MVS cabinet?? thanks for the review!

It certainly would - I play mine on a consolized MVS-1 (same thing as yours basically). It acts the same as a normal MVS cart, I think only 4 slots have an issue running it..

Congrats on the cabinet by the way - I sadly lack the space for one so I play on my TV, but its nothing like a cabinet and an old monitor is MUCH better for Neo Geo than modern TV's.

Yep pretty sure, some games had some very tame nudity in them allready when it comes to King Of Fighters & Art Of Fighting, if you beat some of the female characters with a special move, it blows their top off leaving them in a bra.

Im not aware of anything further added in any hacks.

It wont hurt your son anyway, its not like video game content will dictate the kind of person he will become, & if it does, its not the game that failed, its the parent.

I think one games had a couple of boobs in it, thats about it but if you look at it that way I'd say the violence in the games is surely worse? Personally I think its a non-issue, I'd let my kid play it, its a very good cart if you have an MVS, loads of great classics, about 70 - 80 original games, the rest hacks.

i feel you man i jumped in to collecting neogeo aes.. in 2001 .. man i didn't realise that the aes carts are so expensive i got 21 aes carts man it cost me alot of money .. i having problems collecting due to the way the economy is at...i never get tired of playing those games .. but i would definitly pick this up with the aes converter..and when things get better i would continue to collect aes carts there's nothing wrong as long as you are enjoying your games that's what' s all about

There ARE issues with this cart, also some 20 of the games are utter rubbish - really shady versions of KOF etc. That said I'm really enjoying it - I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to try these games out on the real hardware (and there are a ton of good games).

It works with Unibios on my MVS. I suppose that on an AES with unibios will be same thing.

My AES is not modded and i don't have at the moment a phantom or MVS CNV 2... But I had a phantom-1 years ago and i got problems of compatibility with certain original game carts. I don't know how can it work with this 100 in 1 one.

I have the 100 in 1, but my cart is transparent, not yellow.

I noticed high glitch issues on Aerofighters 3 when playing it on EUROPE-CONSOLE, and less issues when playing in USA-JAP.

I noticed a little glitch graphic on Samurai Shodown 3 when nakoruru's family going out from the house, just the head of the dog becomes glitchy.

The rest of the games working flawlessly... People said that KOF 98 had a problem of sound, but it works if you play it JAP-CONSOLE-MVS

You just need a converter - these are expensive however, it may be worth just getting a 1 slot MVS for the same price/cheaper..

as a purist, and not a "collector" (yes there is a difference), I want this multi-cart for my neo-geo cab pretty bad.

And as far as collector snobs frowning upon this device, lets not forget that it's their fault the original games are so damn expensive in the first place.

I cant tell you how many collectors I know of that buy these games because of their "worth", and end up never playing them. pisses me off.

So I don't care what their opinion of this device is really.

It plays perfectly. It has the option to play in several languages and if you have unibios you could turn the blood on or off.
