  • One of my earliest members of Christmas was going carol singing with my two cousins, Jack and Tony, they were both choir boys. I had a voice like a corncrake, I was allowed to go with them, providing I just mimed. They were like my brothers, those too............. Happy Days.

  • I remember driving late one winters evening just before Christmas and this came on the radio. Just as it came on, it started to snow really heavily. It is a wonderful memory of a past Christmas and this beautiful Carol.

  • See amid the winter's snow,

Born for us on earth below,

    See the tender Lamb appears,

    Promised from eternal years.

    Chorus

    Hail, thou ever-blessed morn!

    Hail, redemption's happy dawn!

    Sing through all Jerusalem,

    Christ is born in Bethlehem.

  • Chorus:

    Lo, within a manger lies

    He who built the starry skies;

He who, throned in height sublime,

    Sits among the cherubim

  • Chorus

    Sacred infant, all divine,

What a tender love was thine,

Thus to come from highest bliss

Down to such a world as this.

    Chorus

Teach, O teach us , Holy Child,

By Thy Face so meek and mild,

Teach us to resemble Thee, In Thy Sweet humility!

    Chorus
