  • Blik erwten soep,

  • why does it look like they arent playing with the music

  • dont whine...its a great song

  • Great message!! Maybe B4 the powers that be decide to drop bombs, they sould listen to this cut.

  • Yeah, maybe if we get the Palestinians and Israelis to listen to this song, they'll come to agreement

Maybe peace n love can stop the bloodshed in Darfur. Maybe if we just talk nicely to Bin Laden, he'll give up jihad.

Call Earth--humans are fundamentally insane, aggressive and possessive. If someone's going to blow my head off, I'm going to blow their head off first. That's how I roll. If you don't, fine, let me know where you live, so I can rob you, since you're an easy mark

  • I have come to understand that an irrational mind looks at kindness as weakness, don't get the game twisted son. You confuse agression and self defense, if you lack self disipline and believe that you have to physically assault people who appear to be meek then your days on this earh are considerably numbered. I seek peace at all cost but if you reject my peaceful agenda with the stance of a bully it would not be difficult for me to recall my New York street days. I want your mind to grow.

  • May be we are all just crazy

  • It probably wouldn't be a good idea to visit me now that you know where I am from. If you are looking for an easy victim then you are a toy thug. Take that into consideration and give peace chance. Or continue to act like a bad ass and die at the hands of your own devices. PEACE!!!

  • You have completely misunderstood my message--I am no bully. I just believe in self defense. Someone wants to hurt you, you have the right to defend yourself.

Of course, talking and understanding would be better--always--but sometimes people just don't want to listen. At some point you must concede that talk alone doesn't work with some people, because there are bullies out there.

In hindsight, my comments were sarcastic--I know that doesn't always come across online

  • Anyway, I apologize as my rheotoric was over the top and disrespectful--I just want to show that you can extend an olive branch all you want---some people will take it and some will take advantage of you

And like it or not, humans are fundamentally aggressive--you are, too, we all are. We have big brains and because of that, some of us reach for something more

Peace back at you--and I apologize again for my sarcasm--I mean you no disrespect or harm

  • Much respect, communication can take this world to another level, look at where it got us. It got us to better understand one another. I can see your potential through your words, a very good sign. See I know it s more complex than just listening to a song and your right there are lots of vipers out there looking to take advantage of people, but if they would just think about a violent crime being committed against a loved one of theirs they may reconcile their ways. Idealistic yes, hopeful yes.

  • I can admit that I was wrong about your lack of discipline. one with out discipline would never admit that they may have gone over the top a little, his pride would have interfered, so I compliment you. Keep in touch. PEACE!!!

  • Dude on the bongos bears a striking resemblace to Marley, from profle.

  • THE FREEDOM

  • how oh happy....people find it yet? i have..so nice to be happy

blessing from the father...if you find happiness at any time of your life you would never let it go ...true happiness comes

when one is at peace with ones self,,,

  • Man it's been way to long since i heard this song

  • great song 5/5

  • love this song

  • I dont understand why people would relate this song/clip to smoking weed? It shows brotherhood among the band and spending time with their children and family. It also shows them exercising???

  • Zeramus 24, I so agree with you!

  • true ma bredda, seen?

  • ???

  • I remember this song well, I was in the Navy, man, I remember when me and some of the boys off the U.S.S.Hunley AS-31 we were we would get high, right after the work day, Iwould shower put my clothe on leave the ship and I could not wait to get me a nice big bottle of wine, smoke a joint and get me some good Guamian pussy.

  • Now that I smoked weed, I am digging this song... wiiiith iiiiiiit.

  • THISIS A MAJORSONG

  • I once hear Peter Tosh say, "Wherever Reggae plays, pretty flowers grow!" But, I never really believed him, until now... A whole new generation of the young from all over, loves this music once again.

  • This song resembles revolution as I was a fan at 11 yrs old and still am.

  • Big tune !

  • was it Bob Marley at 00:56 ?????

  • IsatisFox no this is 1985,,thats Stephen Cat Coore, the guitar player of Third World.

  • the person you think is Bob, is actually Irving "Carrot" Jarrett, former percussionist for Thirld World. He left Third World in the 80's and was touring with the Wailers for a while. AND yes he does resemble Bob somewhat, but no relation that I'm aware of.

  • absolute class tune!!

  • AAaaaAaAAAhahhhhhHhhHAHhHhHhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • heavy D made this song better i find, but this is good too.

  • Ahí ahí...

  • This toon used to be part of a film Third World did by 198... This film was called "Prisoner in the street " I still have the vinyl record of the original sound track. Does anybody except Jah, know where I could find the film itself ? Irie ites everybody

  • Possibly a national archive? We have such here in Australia. Just putting it out there but not too hopeful in your search. But anyway what an awesome band. I just dont know what to say this is a real band with real musicians not like todays shit. Real performers.

  • now that we found love we must enjoy it

  • About 30years ago,I listened to this song. And now, I don't forget. Just my type.

  • ¡Magnífica canción! desde Benalmádena -MÁLAGA- España

  • loving it

  • "Prisoner in the Street" ist their live album. One of the best ever made!

  • Great song - a favourite from when I was in my early teens. But there is no mention here that it was actually an O'Jays record, they made the original version as far as I'm aware, yet everyone here seems to be crediting Third World with the song. As someone who was seriously into my reggae it's been amazing to learn that so many great reggae tracks are actually old soul records. That doesn't stop them being great tracks though, & probably prefer the TW version of this song to the mighty O'Jays.

  • i agree with you there man TW version is so much better just more life and energy to it third world is a great band and theres still a band from what i know which is the amazing part :) one love third world

  • you're exactly right!! the o'jays did do this song as an album track off of either their "survival" or "ship ahoy" lp's......and the song was written and kenny gamble and leon huff.....third world took that "message of love" theme and gave it an early 80's reggae vibe that , to mt, makes it the version that i and a lot of other music fans love the most...but i always mention to people that the o'jays recorded it first in 1973/1974!!

  • now that we found love EMBRASE IT, ENJOY IT !!

  • I've always loved Third World and felt that they were one of the best musical bands who expressed a great sense of Peace and Love in the World. God Bless. Ray

  • Fantastic song, this is the the cure for the hating that we feel sometimes.
