i can recall how one guy slipped off his saddle and was dragging along and eventually fell off and the filmmers were thinking 'oh no' 'he's gonna die, he's gonna die' cause he was riding near the fornt of the line and there was a fear of that poor fellow being trampled to death, but luckily all the horses rode around him and he wasn't event touched. that was PURE luck.

Yeah i saw the uh the extended behind the scenes thing, and how bernard hill (theoden) was talkin about how they were filming the charge of the rohirrim and how they didn't use the numbers seen during the movie instead didnt they use more like only 40 or 50 actors with horses that would fuss and used that to lengthen the size of the rohirrim division? The only thing that ever bothered me was that the geography in the film's Rohirrim Charge is inconsistent with the books and the maps. In the book they were coming from a northern direction since Minas Tirith is directly west from Mordor/Minas Morgul so the sun couldn't have been rising right behind them, but hey, it still looks badass in the movie so it's still my favorite scene.
